Product performs as advertised and more. Engine fired up without issue and is extremely fuel efficient. When chipping branches 3-4" if you feed them slowly, allowing the machine to catch up between 'short feeds', you will not stall the motor as it handled them without issue. I Ran the unit in two sessions for 3+ hours of chipping old hard dried wood and blades remained sharp to the touch. It has clogged on me 3 times, however in all fairness to the machine, in on of the chipping sessions, it had rained the previous day and some of the branches were of evergreenish (piney needles), of which some were a bit damp which will caused the unit the clog. The machine lives up to its specs and more, its design makes it easy to clean up when finished as well as clear a clog. I wish it had larger wheels as I live on a hilly property making it a bit difficult to move around by hand, however, for 205lb machine I can't complain that much. Larger diameter wheels would probably make it a bit easier to move around on such a property. If you property is relatively flat, you will have no issue. Before purchasing I read many of the reviews, and one main theme seemed to be throughout: People were accidently touching the muffler, which is very hot. I too a had inadvertently touched it during an unclogging situation as the muffler is right there. Being handy with a welder, I created and added an additional shield, which did the trick - see photos. If the manufacture sees these photos, maybe they can use this design and create one as well. After using the machine again with my added muffler shield, I did not get 'cooked' - LOL. Maintenance and access is easy: Changing engine oil, access the bearing lube points, and accessing the drive belts, air filter etc... Overall, I'm very a happy with the machine, a very BIG BANK for the buck so it gets a 5 star rating from me, even with some recommended minor improvements in design (wheels and muffler shield).
