Difficult to find my tall thin son casual pants. Not many manufacturers make his size and fit him well but these from Wrangler are great.
I searched high and low for pants that were not made of denim, fleece, or nylon. My very tall, very thin son cannot wear denim. He lives in fleece sweat pants and nylon track pants. I was unable to find pants in size 28/36 in retail stores. I found Wrangler Riata flat front pants and took a chance that they would fit my son properly and that he would like them. The pants are perfect. They are sized perfectly. They are not scratchy or stiff. They wash really well, I hang them dry. I do wish they came in other colors, dark navy perhaps? I purchased black and sable. The sable are a really nice dress pant option for a 16 year old young man. These are not little old man looking pants. Thank you, Wrangler, for a terrific garment.
I have several pairs of the Riata flat front pants I have worn nearly daily to my office casual environment for the last 6 years. The quality and fit are the same every time, which is a big plus for Wrangler. The material wears out faster than some other brands, but these pants provide good value. They are simple, functional, and reasonably priced.
If only Wrangler took a cue of what "Relaxed fit" means from their relaxed fit jeans, this pant style would have be excellent for my son. It was nice to find 29 X34 pant size but a pain to discover that the front and back rise lengths are anything but adequate. The rate at which the black pairs are shedding with every wash makes me wonder if they won't end up turning grey soon.
For the last ten years I bought about 8 pairs of the pleated Wrangler Riatas every year. However, in the last year the quality control has decreased with waist sizes varying a whole inch between pants. Then the new fabric recently came out. Fabric nice but the new fabric is not the relaxed fit of the old pants. Uncomfortable and no button back pocket like the last version. The new may work for some but I do not recommend them. Only gave a two star as there are worse pants out there.
My son wears 28"w x 34"l pants. These were extremely wide in the leg for him. They should decrease the width for skinny people! Returned.
