Super comfy. Easily wear them all day long in the office. True to size.
I really like this flat. Unlike most flats I did not have to order 1/2 size smaller, my normal 5.5 fit perfectly. They don't have much support in the footbed but most ballerinas don't. My only complaint is that after the first day of wearing them, I already had a nick out of the leather on the toe, so they may not be terribly robust. In any case I ordered in a 2nd color.
Bought these to be my closet-staple, work-to-weekend black flat, and they fit the bill! I wear a size 8.5 or 9, regular or wide depending on the brand. With leather ballet flats, I usually go with an 8.5, knowing they'll break-in and stretch out a bit. These shoes are a little on the small side, so I definitely had to go with a 9W; but the 9W fits perfectly: no extra space in the toes but not too tight. If you're in-between sizes, go with the bigger size.
I love the hidden 1-inch heel; makes the shoe so much more comfortable than a regular ballet flat. The cushioned footbed is really nice too.
The toe box is very short, so there's a lot of toe cleavage - not my favorite. I wish the toe was just 1/4-in longer to hide the toes; then it would be a perfect flat.
I've only had these shoes for a short time so hopefully I can see if they need more breaking in. I took a short trip and walked all over DC wearing these flats. They were pretty comfortable right out of the box, soft leather, deep velvety black, overall great high quality look. I believe they are true to size as I'm a 10 but every foot is unique. The changes I would make to this shoe to improve it would definitely add length to the toe box because the toe cleavage isn't great to look at and marks a line along the toes. Next up are the sides of the shoe, they sort of bow out and don't really conform to the foot so it's easier for rocks and twigs to get in. This shoe is so odd because I love it but at the same time I feel like it could be better especially for the price point. Hopefully I can break it in to fit my foot but who knows. Keep the reciept in case.
