A cute shoe that truly fits my EEEE width foot? Bliss! It's soft, so soft, to walk in, looks like a young woman's shoe because of the very thin looking sole and heel (hooray, not granny stacked heels). Purchased size 9.5 US wide (label inside shoe says = Euro 41, which is equiv to an AU 10 for this shoe in real life). Usually AU10 and US 10 in most brands are also Euro 41, so thought I was dropping down a half size, but worked well - just put in a heel grip, they're not falling off when I walk. Possibly could drop down half a size in length. Shoe needs waterproofing on arrival due to lovely leather type. Utterly gorgeous. The blue pearlised pair with black toe caps surprisingly went with my dark grey jeans. The sunshine yellow pair I ordered at the same time are just divine. Coloured flatties for EEEE! Hooked for life. No toe cleavage, which is actually good for winter, and enough vertical room to put in full sole inserts if the shoes stretch too much, without looking like your foot's about to pop out of the shoe.
About This Item
Most comfy that I own!
With bad feet, knee surgeries & other maladies my shoe wardrobe was doing me no good. I wanted comfort, but also style.
After trying many others, I gave these a try.
Started with bronze/black (gorgeous!!), then got blue/blk, then blk leather/blk patent....& just ordered the luggage leather/blk patent. Over the yrs I went from a M to W, & find them true to size.
The arch & shoe interior is really padded nicely, & although a little pricey you do get what you pay for! Soft leather, comfort & elegant style may cause me to order a 5th pair.
Really is Soft
I have major problems finding shoes that fit - wear a 10.5W and these fit great. The only thing that could be improved is they don't narrow much at all until the heel area so they gape a little when you walk (in the middle of your foot) but I can live with that. May go back for more colors.
not true to width in a ww
I have the laser flat, which may be different than other styles of the napa flat. I usually wear a 9.5 EE shoe, and I found these to be very low volume for a WW, both in terms of depth (they were not really high enough for my toes OR my high instep) and also very narrow, especially around the shoe opening. If you have a wide foot or a high instep or toes and need a deeper shoe, you should either go up a width from your normal or skip this one.
Cute shoe, just didn't work for me
I bought the Tan/Luggage Soft Laser Leather color and they were very cute and had create cushion in the insole. I am a pretty good solid 5.5 (sometimes 5.5 are a tad big and a 5 is too small and a 6 is almost always too big). They fit perfect for length, but were just a tad too narrow in the width of the toe box. I might have considered ordering a 6 and then using a heel cushion to take up space, but decided to return them because I found the connection between the materials (mainly between the perforated sides and the top leather ribbon the encircles the top of the shoe) to be very hard and scratching. I made the assumption that it would most likely constantly rub and irritate the skin on the top of my foot and would have probably caused blisters.
