I have so far bought 8 bras and cant find one that fits. I took my measurements and ordered this bra in a 42J. Thats what I should wear according to my measurements. I am a plus size woman. It fit perfectly on the tightest hook and the straps as short as they could go. But there was NO Support. I bounced all over the place and my breasts where drooped almost to my elbows. I get more support from a too small leisure bra that I own. Too bad cause the fit was there just no support. Returned 4 bras so far, here comes another two.
It fits well and is very comfortable. I love the new blue and pink colors, too. I just have a few negatives about it - the cup lining is quite fragile; I've worn this style now for a number of years and have learned how to be gentle with it. And I wish it were a little lower-cut across the top of the cleavage area. I have some tank-tops that are cut just a bit lower than the bra and I'm not comfortable having any part of my bra visible, other than the shoulde straps. I'm also dismayed that my actual size isn't available here anymore - 48B. I decided to order the 50B and put it on the tightest row of hooks; it's just a bit too big in the cup, but only a little. In response to the posters who said the bra isn't available in black, I suggest you just look around on the internet as to that availability if it's not here in your size. I tried posting some here but I didn't know it wasn't allowed so that post will probably not be shown here.
I've been wearing this style bra for years and have been very happy with it. I even recommend it to several people. However, sometime between the last time I ordered (6-8 months ago) and when I ordered last week, the manufacturer changed the fabric on the straps. Now the fabric on the back of the straps (where you adjust the straps to make them longer or shorter) is a really smooth, slippery fabric. If I shorten the straps in the morning to put the bra on, the little clasp slowly slides down the smooth, slippery fabric of the strap, lengthening the strap and making the bra virtually useless. After a couple of hours the straps are at full length--which is definitely NOT where I need them--the straps are falling off my shoulders, and my neck and shoulders are starting to ache because the bra isn't supportive enough. These used to be fabulous bras, but not any longer. I'm really disappointed.
Okay, here's the facts: I take a 52G, and wear a breast prosthetic. It's impossible to get one of these that perfectly matches the size and shape of a mature breast, so you have to have a bra that will allow for some disequilibrium and still look decent. When it's new, this bra is stiff enough to hold everything in place without sloshing around (you large ladies know what I mean) while comfortable enough not to drive you crazy. This bra fits the bill. Unfortunately, after about 6 months, it has softened and stretched out enough to let things get sloppy. I've never had to replace a bra before the elastic has started wearing out in the past; while these still look good, they are too relaxed for me to wear. Too bad I don't have a size-mate to pass them on to. Oh well. They do the trick for me, and that's what counts.
I bought this bra in August, and by the middle of November the lace on top had began to come apart. the inside lining shreds and then the lace begins to tear apart. There is nothing to hold the inside together. Nice bra, but won't recommend!
I have ordered this bra in white, black and pink. Loved them all for the first three months then started having problems. The straps will not stay adjusted, I make them tight and within hours they are loose again. I am constantly having to pull my straps up from my shoulders. The bottom elastic has given way and is now rolling up. The bottom elastic has also stretched out and the bra that started as a 42 is now at least 44. The pretty pink is now an off white and I wash these by hand and hang them to dry. As perfect as they are when you first receive them, it just doesn't last. For the money you pay for these bra's, the quality is just not there. I was hoping they would last longer, I already need new bra's, the support of the bra is no longer there!
This Magic Lift soft shoulder bra from Glamorise is a very good buy. It provides all the support you will need. Because there are no wires you don't have to worry about being poked. The padded shoulders are perfect. There is just enough padding there that the straps do not dig into the shoulders. They are also adjustable for even more comfort. The cups are seamed but that doesn't bother me. This should be ok for everyone. I haven't had any problems with the washing of the garment. So far so good. I have had this bra for a couple of months with no problems. Very comfortable to wear all day. I think you should try one of these and maybe you will have the same results. Thanks Glamorise.
Have been told by the outlet stores to go from a 38G to a 40H. My Playtex doesn't come in a H. So, after reading the reviews on Glamorise I figured i would give them a try. This style band was too large (compared to the other style I purchased), and the straps are far too long. Since I have to pay to return it, I'll just live with it. I sew and will figure out a way to fix it. Will probably order again, but go back to a 38 band size on this style. Larger cup size kinda digs in close to underarms. Other than that it is comfortable.
