Keep Riding the Wave!
Mizuno continues to build upon its great tradition with its latest model of the Wave Rider. This is a sharp looking shoe! I immediately was drawn to the latest color schemes; this shoe in particular is sporting a charcoal gray body, with a silver Mizuno logo, and white outsole-I can definitely wear these out casually as well as while running. I'm traditionally more of a stability shoe runner, so this neutral shoe will be a good opportunity to see how it compares to other stability models as well, including the beloved Mizuno Wave Rider 15. Out of the box one can tell that this is a sleeker shoe than most stability shoes and its predecessor; noticeably lighter with a lower profile, yet still maintaining a similar stiffness and durability. Not much has been dramatically changed according to others following the Wave Rider 22; it seems that the 23 will be simply an improvement in the details of an already great tradition of a model, but the sleeker profile is attractive. Let's put it to the test! I was super excited to get out on the roads and trails with these shoes. Right away I notice a lighter, sleeker, and closer to the ground feel than the Wave Inspire, which is a friendly change. I was impressed with the reputed Wave technology; it allowed for a noticeable structure to the shoe, while also feeling light and free. I was able to get out mostly on the roads with these shoes in hot, dry conditions, and occasionally I was able to jump on some dirt and gravel trails, including a twenty mile run. Verdict: the shoe performed wonderfully! There was plenty of stability for me even during the long runs, and I thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and lighter feel of these neutral training shoes. The neutral daily running/trainer designation for these shoes is spot on; passing with flying colors! For someone that favors more structure and stability in their run, for someone that seeks a responsive, low profile ride, or for anyone in between, I would highly recommend this shoe. Smaller than actual size
I've bought Mizuno's for over 15 years. This model is smaller than all others. Disappointed. Also, on a separate note, why do you make older models so hard to find?

So obsessed with these shoes!!

I've been wearing these shoes while I run recently and I am in love with how lightweight they are! My legs feel super fresh post-runs as well, which is a win! Seriously loving everything about these shoes! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A Great Shoe For Any Distance Runner

I haven't ran in the Wave Rider for about 7+ years but I really like the new Wave Runner 23's. I love the all-new updated breathable mesh on the top of the shoe and even though I probably would not use these for speed work, I look forward to using them as a staple in my longer/recovery miles for marathon training. Lots of support and super comfortable! My feet are definitely a fan. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

100% best shoes I've ever bought

They have really nice cushion, great breathability, and they're fairly stable. I bought the bright green ones, I get compliments on what a good looking shoe it is. I'm not a runner but when I take Tabata, HIIT, or step classes I get a lot Spring in my step. I don't anticipate using any other shoe brand.

Highly Recommended

I have been wearing the Wave Riders for many years. I have a narrow heel and and a medium toe box. My first pair was purchased and expertly fitted at a running store. These shoes are so reliable as to fit and quality that I can now purchase them online. They are comfortable right out of the box and need no break in. I am not a runner, I use them for walking the streets of NYC.

The perfect running shoe.

I ran 3.13 miles right out of the box...love them...light weight and just the right amount of cushion.

I would buy again

I love my new shoes! Always wear Mizunos and these are by far my favorite. Not too bulky and I love the color.

Narrow fit

In the past, I have comfortably worn Nike shoes and believe I have a narrow runner's foot, but I had to purchase a WIDE version of this shoe to have a comfortable fit. It's an excellent shoe, but you will likely need to GET IT IN WIDE. I followed my usual size. It's just the width.

I've bought Wave Riders again, again, again ...

I've been wearing Wave Riders for years and love them because they run a bit narrow which is perfect for me! The only downside (why no five stars) for this iteration is the shoestrings/ties -- they are difficult to tighten.

Smaller than actual size

I've bought Mizuno's for over 15 years. This model is smaller than all others. Disappointed. Also, on a separate note, why do you make older models so hard to find?
