Bought this because it was the cheapest solution to my faded headlights. I have a 2013 Tacoma and the headlights were pretty bad, really clouded over. I didn't take "before" pictures because frankly I didn't expect much out of this. I'd read the reviews and there were some good and some bad, but for a product so cheaply priced I just didn't think it was going to make a big difference. Was I ever wrong. I did the initial sanding of the lens (sanding sponge supplied) on a nice day but with rain forecast (the lenses are supposed to stay dry, even from dew, for 24 hours. I waited until another dry day to complete the final step of wiping the headlights. Then that evening I even put the Tacoma in the garage to keep the dew off of it. The change was immediate and amazing. There's one spot that still has a tiny bit of cloudiness in it over the parking light on one lens, but that's my fault as I missed cleaning it with the sanding pad. The rest of both lenses look absolutely new. The only issue I had with the product was that all of the cardboard boxes of this product in the store were bent and torn, and the boxes all looked like they had been raided. After reading other reviews about this product, I double-checked all the parts and pieces were there. Just make sure the plastic bag inside is intact because it holds the stuff you need. Just follow the directions and I think you'll be pleased. I certainly was.
Love Love Love this product!!!
Okay, so, I was very skeptical about buying and using this product on my 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. I was going to have my mechanics shop restore my headlights for the price of $75, but I decided to go with the Rust Oleum Wipe New kit first before I decided to spend that kind of money. I have to say, I am freaking amazed. My headlights were yellow/greenish colored and very hazy, and the light was very dim because they were so horrible looking. I did everything the instructions said down to a T, and they came out so clear and darn near look new. I did my son's the same time as I did mine on his 2008 Pontiac G6 GT. I love them both. I had to use the scrubbing pad a couple of times on mine before applying the wipe new cloth. My son's wasn't bad, so I just cleaned his and applied the cloth and they came out wonderful. I love this product. Now, I don't have to spend $75 on getting them professionally done. I will definitely recommend this to anyone. I didn't get a before pic, but the after pic is great!!!
Wipe New works
I was skeptical but for less than $10 I figured I'd try it. I have a 2003 Honda Accord, 250,000+ miles. The headlights were dull. Had to scrub the lights several times with the included scrubbing pads but it worked. I used a small spray bottle of water to make the first step easier. Been a few weeks since I applied the Wipe New coating and the headlights are still very clear.
13 year old headlights almost look new
So far my headlights look great!!! My 13 year old car looks as good as my husbands 5 year old truck. I paid $50 for a repair shop to buff them last year to pass inspection and this year the same shop told me that they needed to be done again or my car will fail inspection. I decided to buy this product so I hope it lasts.
