    Absolutely Great Product

I bought this product purposely because my husband and I frequently travel with our 2yr old twins and its very difficult trying to manage various bags and a double stroller and then trying to tie the car seats to the stroller in order for us to get to the gate. I found this product to be very very helpful, especially since it actually fits 2 car seats. (Which I was very pleased that it did). Like other reviews I was able to also pack a pack of diapers, and a pack of wipes in this bag, when we just checked the bag in. The wheels roll very easily and has a handle that you can actually attach to your suitcase and roll both at the same time. The fabric is heavy enough that your seats won't get damaged but light enough that its foldable. I absolutely loved this product, especially since it made it easier as a mom to travel with my kids. I would recommend this to anyone who travels with car seats especially multiple.
This is pretty big! We have one of those Mickey Mouse car seats that stands really talll and it fits nicely in this bag.

A great help at the airport

I bought this to travel alone with my 2 1/2 year old. I read the reviews and although many of them were disappointed with the quality of the bag, I purchased it anyways as I was nervous about trying to lug my carry-on bag (with toys, snacks, etc. for my son), my purse, my son, AND his car seat through the airport by myself. The bag worked great for my purposes. Although sometimes hard to steer, the bag held my son's Britax Diplomat car seat (as well as our jackets) all through the airport. It also flattened easily for storage in the overhead compartment on the airplane. On the downside, it took a little longer to get the car seat back inside the bag once we landed. Also, I truly don't know how long the bag will last as it is not that durable. Even still, I recommend this bag for hauling your car seat through the airport. It was a lifesaver for me and even if I only get to use a few more times, it was well worth the small price.

    Definitely better than expected!

After reading the horrible reviews I didn't expect much but I needed something to protect my $300+ Peg-Perego convertible seat. I was very pleasantly surprised how well it worked. It fit my seat perfectly (suspect it would fit a Britax seat too since they are similar size). The material is lightweight but sturdy enough to protect the material. There is an inside bage strap to help the seat stay in place in the bag. You have to tip the seat farther than you think to have it roll nicely, but if you lengthen the strap so that the top of the seat rides about 12 inches from the floor, then it works fine. Plus when my suitcase was a few pounds over the weight limit, I could move some items over to this bag and get all my luggage checked for free! I would have appreciated an extending pulley arm like most wheelie suitcases but it was fine without it. For the price and value ($35), I would def recommend.

Great bag for travel with a car seat

Bought this bag as we were going to be traveling with our 2 year old grandson. We had several flights then cars at each destination and a car seat was a must. This was a great bag for the car seat. Airlines checked it free either as gate checked or checked bag. The bag was a bit hard to steer at first then we got the hang of it and the wheels were a must to have as the car seat is heavy and hard to carry. Besides the car seat we also included a lap tray and blanket with the seat. There is an inside belt that keeps the car seat and contents in place and the car seat and bag arrived at each destination in perfect shape and the bag is large enough to accommodate about any car seat there is.

    Great for flights!

We have had this for almost a year and have had no problems with it on the five flights we have taken. It was easy to maneuver with the car seat in it and at times with our child riding on top. It folds up flat for the overhead bins and fits down the aisles. The one time it did get dirty we just cleaned it off with a wet wipe. Great deal for the price and saves the seat from germs, dirt, and damage.

    Don't do it

Wheels/bottom fell off at first use. Came off the airline baggage carousel in pieces. All of the rivets came out and the bottom board broke apart.

JL Childress carseat travel bag REVIEW

I recommend this product; this bag appears to be much sturdier than the one that I had before (an Eddie Baurer one w/o wheels that started to tear after only 3 airline flights). I've only used this JL Childress carseat bag for one flight over the July 4, 08 holiday weekend, and it is so much easier to navigate b/c of the wheels. HOWEVER I must say that the JL Childress company could invest more quality wheels on the product....if you are moving too fast the bag starts to 'sway' a bit and this is more than inconvenient while trying to push a stroller w/ one hand and pull this bag w/ the other through the airport. Also, I have the MAXI-COSI Priori car seat and at first IT WOULD NOT FIT in the bag. But, this car seat is European and is a bit more hands on than most car seats....I had to fold down the base and lock it into position and then it fit into the bag just fine. Also, the bag stores flat after you are done using it.....I put it in my samsonite luggage after we were done traveling and I unpacked everying, whereas the old Eddie B. one was bulky, it didn't fold at all, and the material wasn't as sturdy.

My experience with the Car Seat bag

The bag seemed to be nicely constructed. It came in it's own clear plastic carry bag, which is nice for storing. The bag did hold our Britax Marathon (huge, heavy seat) and our Graco booster seat as I'd hoped. It was a tight squeeze with both the seats in the bag, but it held them. One problem that I had was when I was trying to pull the bag down the small aisle in the airplane (I should have known better), the swivel pull detached from the side. I thought that it was done, but thanks to a nice strong pilot he was able to pop it right back into place after the flight. I recommend using the longer handle pull only while the wheels can move freely, otherwise use the smaller sewn in handle to lift and carry the bag. As for the wheels, they worked great, but it would be nicer if there were four wheels instead of only two. Other than these small grips I loved the bag. I would certainly buy it all over again. P.S. I would never check or gate check this bag if you want to keep it nice. You should see what they did to our stroller gate check bag. Thankfully the stroller was in the bag otherwise it would have been ruined.

    Poor design

I thought this bag was going to be wonderful. It did a great job of holding the car seat and pulling through the airport. However, after the 2nd flight, the wheel bracket broke. The bag can no longer be wheeled and has to be carried which is very uncomfortable and awkward. I filed a claim with the airline which replied they wouldn't cover it because the wheels protruded from the bag. JL Childress' website says they won't cover damage caused by the airlines. For an average cost of $20 per flight, this bag is not a bargain.
