I bought this after Hurricane Beryl rolled through the Houston area and my old off-brand generator kept giving me trouble even though I had maintained it. Planning to run this one only on propane unless I absolutely have to use gasoline. The shipping pallet served as a useful stand when mounting the wheels and support legs. Fired right up when hooked to a propane tank. I feel much more confident this will be ready and able the next time I need a generator (which seems to be getting more often). Be aware this uses freight shipping for delivery; it came on an 18 wheeler. I ended up tipping the driver for backing up a quarter mile as there was no good way to turn around at my end of the road, and helped get it down my drive and to my deck a...

I ordered this Westinghouse generator along with a couple smaller items .. the 2smaller items came., however I've never received my 1,000$ generator yet! Nobody from walmart nor this company has made an effort to contact me!! So beware of fraudulent purchases. So far not one contact, ordered the 4th of July 2024. Now 14th of July)

    Assembly is only putting on the wheels and two footings, connecting the battery wire connector and the spark plug wire. All very easy. Remote is pre-programmed. Started with remote on 1st attempt after adding the oil and fuel. I installed a 50A double-pole breaker in the home electrical panel, a 50A outlet near it and connected the outlet to the 50A breaker. All I have to do is turn off the main home panel power supply breaker, have on only the home panel breakers I need, which for me is the whole 1850 sqft all-electric house, then flip on the 50A breaker, plug in the 50A cable to the generator and the 50A outlet, then start the generator. I now can sleep soundly and not worry about a loss of power. Delivery was one (1) week late, but...

    Second Westinghouse dual fuel generator

    I have had a Westinghouse generator for over 4 years for my home in West Virginia. It has had limited use and has worked perfectly when needed. Since moving to Florida permanently and upgrading my electrical system and installing a generator interlock system I decided to buy an additional generator. The Westinghouse generator is an excellent choice. The 9500 watts is more the needed to run my home in case of a power outage. It was shipped directly to my home and started the first try. I have already hooked it up and tested it to my electrical system, it worked with no problems. Every thing needed except fuel and power cord comes with the generator and is easy to set up. I highly recommended.

    Awesome value and seemingly good quality

    Haven't actually used it yet for what it is intended for, but have gone through initial testing. It is really a lot of generator for the money. The only question not answered is longevity. I have an old Honda from the 80s with probably 2,000 hours on it, still works great. Hope i can say the same about this one some day. The remote start works from about 70' away if line of sight. I really like the automatic start, if it doesn't start first try, it keeps trying by itself. It also has automatic electric choke, so it is a true push button start. No downsides to this generator that i have yet found. I have had many generators over many years, and this one is promising to be the best yet of all of the gasoline models.
