disconnects if u dont turn off harddisk, use WD SW

great except it goes to sleep (disconnects) after a couple hours of inactivity. i haven't found a way to disable it except to not turn your harddisk off ever. the read/write apps don't work. apparently if you install the WD app that comes with the HD you can change the setting but i don't like installing software with my USBs, just plug %26 play. changing the computer settings for the USBs doesn't work either.

Hi capacity, slow USB, noisy

Good capacity, but slow transfer. Don't know why there aren't more high cap drives with faster connections. Also, kinda noisy. Lastly, I didn't realize the Elements series can't be configured with one of the WD apps to sleep sooner, so mine is fidgeting all the time, adding to the noise issue.
