i.e.--if you don't want to move your arms back and forth--can you position so handlebars stay stationary like ordinary bike?
    by an anonymous customer 1/23/2012
    12 answers
    • A. Yes. Just don't connect them to the peddles like the answer above said. I set it up that way for a while but then decided attach them for the full workout but it did work without being attached.

    • A. sometimes I don't use the handlebars, I just let it go back and forth by itself while I'm pedalling. handlebars connect with the pedals so you cannot make it stop from moving.

    • A. Unfortunately, the handle bars has to move. There is no way you can lock them in place, however Weslo has a cheaper bike that do not move, maybe you should consider that for an option.

I stand at about 5'3". Will I have difficulty using the arm handles? I like the feature but don't want to bother with this machine if my back will be arched the entire time
    by an anonymous customer 12/5/2011
    12 answers
    • A. I am 5'4" and my arms will not reach the handles unless I lean forward. I would not recommend this bike unless you have long arms and the higher the seat the further the reach for the handles.

    • A. I stand 5.5. The reach was a little far for me, but I was willing to make the adjustment. (I gave a 90 second test ride at the store) I was able to keep my back upright. You also need to take into consideration that the seat will be closer to the arms your body will be.

    • A. I purchased this bike yesterday and will be returning it today because of this reason. I am 5'2" and am able to use the bike but not comfortably so that I'd be able to use it for more than just a few minutes without pain. I do have to bend forward to use the handlebars and that makes the seat even more uncomfortable than it already is. It is also difficult to reach the console. Even though this bike is not quiet, I'd probably keep it if the seat were more adjustable.

    • A. No, but you may have trouble with the seating, it's best to walk into your local Walmart, and sit on one to see if it's something you reall want to purchase, most of these Weslo brands are already set-up in stores.

Bike tore through the resistance belt in less than 2 weeks (total time, 6 hrs of use). Just wait, this gets even better. I open up the unit to see why the wheel was wobbly, which is what would cause the belt to snag. Part number 13 in the exploded diagram from the manufacturer was only installed on one side. There was a regular flat washer, NOT A STEP WASHER installed on the right side/drive side hub. Essentially, the wheel was free floating on one side! We already chucked the box because we needed the space in my apartment, and we really didn't expect a pre-assembled component to have been assembled with the COMPLETELY WRONG PARTS FROM THE FACTORY!!! So yes, Walmart, I expect a refund. On a lighter note, since I have actual bicycle repair experience, I can probably find the parts to fix this, and do it myself. The point is that I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. There's more reasons to hate this machine, but this is the real deal breaker.

    Horrible Product

Had this product for 2 weeks and it started making a louder nose then it originally already makes. In the beginning it was great. Used it everyday for about 30 minutes and was seeing fast results. I get on it one day and it shredded black stuff on my new carpet. I call the company to see what could be the problem since I tried to see for myself by taking the side panels off but what do I know about exercise bikes. Longer story short the lady was not helpful, I had to keep repeating myself. I thanked her for her time and hung up the phone. Guess I have to take a loss and scrap up money to get another exercise bike from a different maker and if you have little children like me definitely don't buy this loud bike.

Received this bike as a gift from my sons. My husband and I put it together in about 2 hours. Some of the nuts and bolts were a bit difficult to tighten together and although the box comes with a small tool kit, we needed additional tools (wrenches to tighten). The bike is petite and fits very nicely in an 11x11 room with a queen sized bed. The only problem is...the seat! It is hard and difficult to stay on for more than 5-10 minutes. I've tried pillow, cushions, etc. anything that would soften the seating position, however, to no avail. I will continue to search for something that will help, otherwise I will return it.

I bought this at my local Wal-mart. I put it together myself in under 2 hours. No broken parts, went together rather smoothly. I am getting a better workout than I anticipated for the money. I did learn that you have to really turn the dial to increase the tension but once I figured that out, I alternate between less and more resistance for a good workout. Could not believe the next morning after my first use that my arms were actually sore! Which is good. I just started using it, but so far so good. The seat is uncomfortable but I purchased a memory foam seat cover for around $10 and it helped some. May have to change the seat out for something bigger. The way I see it, I spent less than $100 and I feel that I am getting a good workout. It doesn't take up much space either.
