Roomy
Bought this tent for a two day beach camping trip. We read the directions, but didn't do a dry run at home. It took less than half an hour to put the tent up, in fairly strong ocean winds. I used to camp in a dome tent in my younger days, but decided we needed something roomier, that we could stand up in, since becoming a 'certain age'. My husband is 6'1 and could stand easily. The screened in porch was perfect for eating without being divebombed by seagulls and for just sitting and watching the sunrise over the ocean. We had the nicest tent there! The tent was even easier to pack up and actually fit back into its carrying case.

Missing pieces, leaks, bad buy
I wouldn't recommend this tent to anyone. I bought this for a nice camping trip I been planning for a while. When setting up this tent I was disappointed that it was missing the 4 connectors that connect the thick steel poles into the flexible one. Trying to not let the girlfriend down I tried to improvise and used duct tape to keep it in place. This worked fine. Once it was set up it was big inside. Enough to fit a queen air mattress in the back and a full in the front with walking room. Held up fine in warm dry weather. Then the next day we got slight drizzles and very minor breezy conditions. The tent was falling over and soaked the whole front room. We had to all stay in the back room for the rest of the weekend. It was soaked and a sloppy mess. I returned it. Ill decided to go with Coleman for all my camping equipment now. Don't buy. Waste of money. No value.

A GREAT TENT!!!!

My husband and I purchased this tent online, we liked the way it looked, and sounded by the online description. The first time putting up the tent was a little confusing, they say "easy enough for one person", but you actually do need two people. Now that we have been camping and had set up the tent for the second time, it is easy, but like I said, you need two people. As for the inside, it was just my husband and I, it was roomy and plenty big enough for our elevated queen size air mattress. We had intended to utilize the front room as a "dining" area, but could not find a camping table in the store. Instead it was used to put our clothes and equipment in. It is a wonderful tent and I would recommend it to anyone camping. Also, when we first put up our tent in the back yard to see how it goes, we ended up breaking one of the flexible rods. My husband called the company, Wenzel, and they were kind enough to send us another rod free of charge and overnight. A+ for the tent and Wenzel!

A Great Tent

This is the best tent I've ever had!!! So easy to set up and everything fits back into the bag. I loved that it is so open, you can fall asleep looking out at the stars. Lots of head room in the back room. Screened porch is not as high, but still really nice. It is just like another room, but lots of screened windows. Anyone who loves nature and being out in it will love this tent!!

Great tent

My husband and I took our 3 year old camping for the first time and we loved this tent! It was very easy to set up, we had two people, might have been a little more difficult with one. We loved the little sun room in the front, it was a great space to keep our clothes and other items we didn't want in our main "bedroom". We fit a queen size air mattress in the back room with still plenty of room for other items. We loved all the windows and vent in the back of the tent, it was the perfect size for us as well. Only complaints are that the windows once opened don't really have any place for the extra fabric to be tucked away or tied off so the windows kind of hang around on the floor, and the rounded door way to the back room, while it looks nice, it has a pretty high lip off the floor which we were constantly tripping over, especially my daughter. Other than that, we loved it and it was really easy to take down and pack away. Looking forward to using it again!

AWESOME!!!!!

Just used this tent for 2 weeks. 2 adults 4 children. Lotsssss of extra room. It rained the wind was crazy and this tent held up. No leaks. It rocked....

1. The rainfly does cover the tent and the 'porch' but it only just covers the top.
by Ratatosk
2. The rain fly does cover both the porch and main sleeping area. The roof of the main sleeping area is mesh so you'll want to use the rain fly if there is even a chance of rain.
by 28428
3. There is one rainfly that covers the whole tent, porch included. It overhangs enough that you can have the windows open a little ways during rain, unless the rain is blowing at a sharp angle. No rain has leaked onto the porch on mine.
by tnsmart1
4. Yes the rain fly is one piece that covers the front and back rooms.
by boxlady69
5. It is covered
by Fordiscool
6. The windows zip up just like in the main cabin. Yes, the fly goes completely over both the porch and the cabin. It rained very heavily on us and we stayed dry, both in the porch area and the cabin.
by FrankandJessesmom
7. Fly covers the porch. However, the side curtains on porch do NOT zip over the top, so the tops flap in the breeze. I have used it in the rain and it seems to be structurally sound. No water got in and the waterproofing really beaded and ran the rain off.
by kawraw
8. The rainfly covers the whole tent. I used it with lot of rain in Panama and nothing happened inside. You have to make sure the rainfly is well spread.
by vcisneros
9. No porch on this tent. The rainfly does cover the screen room.
by L8blumr
10. The screen porch is able to be completely zipped up preventing rain and providing privacy as it can be used as a separate room if desired. If you happen to leave the porch open and it rains there is a "wall" of atleast 2-3 inches tall the water would have to go over to get in the main compartment which can also be zipped shut for two private rooms if desired.
by Chuckles247
11. Yes, the rainfly covers the porch area. You should be fine sleeping out there!
