Just WOW! A heating pad in and of itself is nice to have but the added comfort of being weighted (those of you who use a weighted blanket will totally understand), this is a wonderful item. Weighted blankets (NOTE: This is NOT a blanket but a PAD) have been shown to bring calm to those with sensory concerns or who simply need comfort from a little weight (it feels like a hug). The overall size is nice, the weight is not too heavy and the heating capacity is good. It is nice heat for aching muscles or just a warm, wintery hug feeling. I use it almost daily during the long cold winter months. It does not replace my missing the sunshine, but it at least gives a sense of comfort and calm as I wait for spring and sunshine to return.
