    Kitchen Cabinet Redo

What an amazing product! Easy to use and the paint goes a long way! I used 4 of the large containers in Mineral to completely redo my kitchen cabinets which were originally builder grade cabinets. The repainted cabinets breathed new life in to my kitchen! This is a low cost and easy way to update your kitchen! What an update for such a small amount of money. I used a degreaser to remove any debris from my cabinets. Then I removed them in order. To paint- I placed them on top of four styrofoam cups that had the number of the cabinet written on them. I used three coats of the chalk paint in the color Mineral. After it dried I sealed it with three coats of Polyurethane which can also be found at Walmart. I’ve included a before and after photo.

Best chalk paint for the $

I paint many pieces of furniture for resale. About 50 pieces a year. Weavery is my go to choice. The only reason I use other paints is because of their lack of choices. My only advice to the company is to broaden your colors and make more colors available. I mix my own but need to stray to buy other colors. Weaverly Chalk paint, by far, is the best for the money. Chalk Paint

I have been painting furniture with Walmart's Waverly Brand Chalk Paint for about 4 months now. I find it to be better paint than the other more expensive brands that I was using. It sticks like glue! Compared to the nationwide famous brand I was using, Waverly is more difficult to sand off for that shabby look. Which tells me the paint will stay on longer under wear. Also, it covers VERY well in just two coats. Whereas I usually used 3-4 coats for total coverage with other brands. It does have a stronger odor than the other brands though. I do my painting outside on a screened porch and allow the furniture to dry about 2 days before bringing it inside or putting it in my shop. I also mix my own custom colors. They all look fantastic.
