Warn and lightweight

Great batting for quilts. Makes themwarm but lightweight.

Excellent Batting

This is an excellent batting. It is not too thick, but is nice and warm. It's easier to free-motion quilt with this batting than a loftier batting. It's also useful for various crafts and wall hangings, to provide some dimension. I use it for pictorial painted applique quilts. Walmart's pricing for this is as good as or better than the sale prices of most ofther places that sell it, and it ships to store for free, so I buy it through Walmart in the various sizes needed for projects.

I really like this batting & use it in all my quilts. I just wish they carried it in the store's.

nice but expensive

this is the first time I've tried this batting and was pleasantly surprised. Really liked the look & feel when I took it out of the package and was really pleased with the final results after quilting. The only negative is that it is so expensive.

1. You'll want 100% cotton for use in the microwave, though it should also be said that even 100% cotton, if overheated, will burst into flames. There's a batting that's 100% cotton called Warm Tater that's specifically for use in microwaves. That's the one you want.

1. yes

2. This is 100% cotton fibers, so it should be able to be put into the microwave, but like any other natural fiber, if you get it too hot, it could catch fire. I'm not too sure why you'd need it to bake a potato in the microwave. To bake a potato in the microwave, you just need to pierce the potato (after cleaning it, of course), put it in the microwave and cook it. If you don't want to put the potato on the turntable of the microwave, put it on a plate.
