Hi RJ This map comes rolled up in a tall plastic box, almost like a tube but square. It is not folded. You can unroll it and apply easily to the wall. Happy decorating!

It is rolled up in a square plastic container. While it did get creased a little when I first received it, I just rolled it the other way for about 1/2 an hour and then peeled off the backing and it laid flat against the wall. It is like a window cling for the wall.

Does this map come rolled in a tube or is it folded with creases?

It is thicker than a regular decal, a slight bit thinner than a thin piece of cardboard. It has a peel-off backing that you can either leave on which makes it more durable or you can do as I'm doing, which is to place the map in a poster board frame after peeling off backing.

It's not extremely thick. It sticks to the wall like a window cling and is of similar material. It does lay flat against the wall and is a material that does not tear. It is not paper or cardboard.

How thick is the map? Is it as thin as a regular decal or is it substantial thickness?

This item has exceeded my expectations. For the price, I thought it was going to be a laminated poster board with a few peal and stick strips on the back. However, it is like a window cling but for the wall! It sticks flat to the wall and doesn't peel up or poke out. It is easy to write on and unpeels and resticks easily. I am using this in my office to mark travel destinations for business programs and it looks very nice and is functional at the same time.

Globes i have priced in many other place's. can't afford. This is one i can put on the wall. Got here in record time, even with snow strom going on. Should care more for there driver's.

This is so much better then a globe.

Delivery took for-ev-er.  Once I received it, it was easier than I thought to put up.  It's one large piece, thankfully.  The edges do come up a bit but it doesn't bother me.  I fixed one corner with an "Elmer's X-treme School Glue Stick", which fixed the problem.  I'll fix the rest of the edges when it bothers me.

I work from home in the travel industry and wanted an inexpensive world map with write on wipe off features. This does the perfect job and was the perfect size. It helps to have an extra person to adhere to the wall.

just what I was looking for

I'm obsessed with dry erase boards! I like that I can add and remove markings easily. The thought of having to use stickers or thumb tacks to mark off the places I've been or want to go really bothered me so I love that I found this one.

Love it

I bought this to use in my music classroom this year to show students where songs and composers come from, and it's working well! You can use dry erase markers to circle and write on the map, which means I can invite students to the board to find a country without it taking up a ton of time. It's a little bit small, but it suits my needs. It also didn't cling without getting little bubbles underneath on my whiteboard...I'm sure if you use a squeegee or something as suggested, you could avoid that problem
