Unit works very well.
Install the HDD and go to Disk Manager and initialize the entire drive as a, I think it was a UDF drive. Then Basic drive or other drive type and format. I selected longer format to have it check the drive for bad sectors. The quick format does not this.
I made the mistake on my first drive like this one to partition it in half at first and then make a Basic Volume and format it.
With the 'tools' I available at that time I could never access the other half of the drive. I had to buy a second drive and do the process I mentioned above and copy the first drive (half of the drive) data to the second drive and the delete the partition and perform the first operation described above.
Used it for 1 month, it got corrupted and I lost the data. I was able to format It and used it for another month (3 weeks it was not used) after which it became corrupt again (lost all the data once again), but this time even formatting was not possible.
