Great/Perfect Media Storage at a fair price.

I am very pleased with my 4TB hard drive. I had worked as a private school teacher for about twenty years, so I had accumulated a great deal of educational materials along the way - including audio courses, an extensive Ebook library, and obviously video and music. The 4TB disk is my storage library - allowing me to retrieve and/or share materials with others at lightning speed - while leaving my 1TB hard disk freed for routine, daily business. I highly recommend this product. And when it fills, buy another and lay it alongside. But most folks would probably not need more than 4TB to store their media.

    Great buy!

    I bought it for backing up my laptop. Good price. And I was able to upload all my files/data from Windows 7, 64bit even though the information sheet said it was compatible with only Windows 10 . And only 2 days shipping for free. Great buy. I am going to purchase 2 more so I'll have enough sequential back-up capability.

    Fantastic product

    I am using this as an external hard drive for my PS5. I have a couple hundred games saved on this. The PS4 games run perfectly fine playing off this drive without having to move the game back to the internal drice. I recommend this product.

    I love it - It's the fourth one I have.

    It's sexy on my desk. Reliable, I've never had an issue with anything from WD, and specifically this particular model. My desk and tech are all black, with the charcoal look of my Mac. And it all looks great. I have four of them, as I use one up I buy another to back up the essentials. Each time I buy one it's larger storage and it's great. They stopped supporting an app that came supported on the three I had before this one. It allowed you to change the password and customize how it unlocks when used on your Mac, so that sucks. But the drive itself is fantastic and reliable. Western Digital seems to never disappoint at least not yet.

    Why I use Western Digital

    I have always been partial to Western Digital for my hard drives. They have proven to be very reliable. I use the my book desktop as backup for my desktop. It replaced my book desktop which is now to small, but still going strong after 5 years. The unit is reliable and easy to setup. I recommend Western digital products as being the industry standard. I have been using Western Digital since 1990.
