Not worth the savings

These refurbished TVs are supposed to have "minor imperfections", but according to my experience as well as numerous reviews from other customers, chances are they will arrive broken! From the 3 TVs are ordered, 2 were broken, not just scratched. Not sure if they are shipped this way, or they break along the way because of the extremely poor packaging. One of the TVs I ordered arrived with a big tear in the liquid crystal screen, another one had a crack along the bottom and a gap where the stand neck would normally go, as if the stand was ripped off it. Also, the front panel was slightly ajar from the back panel and could not be tightly closed. See attached pics. About the TV features of the E500i-A1: the sound was horrible (probably because of the crack on the bottom, where the speakers are) and the Color Enhancement did not work: setting it to anything would surround anything green or blue (eg. water, sky, trees) with a greenish aura. I had one TV delivered home, the other to the store. I had to arrange for the TV to be brought home by a friend with a truck, since my car is too small. The return took weeks. For one TV I started the TV 2 weeks ago, and am still waiting for the carrier to pick it up. Such a hassle, I would not do it again! In conclusion, these TVs are not worth the savings.

broken tv

The television was cracked on a corner. You can tell they tried sticking it back together. The refurbish process was done very sloppy. Even though the television is cracked its features are really excellent.

Refurbished as it said

The most important thing you have to read about refurbished items is the review left by the the prior buyer because that's you judgement call for buying or not. In my case I knew That the TV it was broken Externally wich I fixed with CRAZY GLUE LOL. Cause it was a little piece of the screen frame on the left top corner that had nothing to do with its funtioning. Then check TV features from A To Z mine was perfect CRYSTAL CLEAR. IN MOVIES . The only problem I had was Shipping and Handling cause UPS HAD NO IDEA THAT IT WAS A TV INSIDE THE BOX (That was the person handeling the box told me). TAKING A LOOK INSDE THE BOX: NO FRAGILE SIGN AT ALL, NOT ENOUGH TAPE ON THE TOP, NO ARROWS TO SIDE IT UP, GOOD PROTECTION ON THE BOTOM BUT CERO ON THE TOP .. UPS Driver: What is in the box? Me: Big screen TV . UPS: Are you serious? Could you check it if everything is in there? Me: Yeah looks good I just need to turn it. on thank you. Let me sign of receive it..

Great Value and Excellent Picture Quality

Seen many reviews for this product. Some had great things to say about this refurbished TV. Those that did not complained of the product being damaged and missing parts. I ordered the product using the site to store delivery option and was completely satisfied. It looked as if it was brand new out of the box. One could immediately tell that it was not a brand new TV as it was packaged in a plain box. I immediately inspected the product while at the store to my satisfaction. I have bought many refurbished products and find that they work just like a brand new item out of the box. Only difference is that a part may have been replaced or it was returned to the manufacturer unhappy with the product. The great thing is it still comes with the manufactures warranty. I would recommend for anyone looking for a value to purchase a refurbished product. It is a win win for the company and comsumer.

Refurbished packaging rendered product unusable

I don't usually buy refurbished equipment because it seems like more trouble than it is worth. I was proven correct with this order. I picked up the TV at Wal-Mart and thought I should open the box because it had holes punched through the cardboard in several places. I decided to just wait til I got home. When I opened the box, the stand, the bag of remote control and the base were loose in the box. The only cushioning for the TV was four, expanding foam bags in the corners and a sheet of plastic over the screen. Sure enough, the screen was cracked. I took it right back to the store and received a refund.

Fantastic product for the money!

At first we hesitated to buy something refurbished but after reading previous reviews on refurbished products, we decided to try. UPS delivered our tv in a large unmarked box. The TV was wrapped up but not like original packaging... in fact it was a little loosely packed in the box. So we were a little apprehensive about what we were receiving and we were afraid that the tv might be scratched... as it turned out, the tv was in excellent condition! Well, there was a smidge of some kind of tape on the bottom of the screen but I called Vizio and they told us how to get it off without damaging the screen. So anyway... we have had the tv almost two weeks now. No complaints whatsoever. Hooked up to our Dish HDMI connection no problem. Hooked up to the Vizio Home Theater system no problem. So all in all, a great big A+
This tv was a great buy. I was a little worried about buying a refurbished TV but it works like new. I received it a weekearly and it was delivered right to my door. I would buy another one.

Delayed twice "in shipment". They were probably waiting for someone to return one so they could send it straight to me from the store it was returned to. This WAS NOT REFURBISHED!!! The TV stand is messed up so it doesn't sit straight and there's still an old mounting screw from someone's wall mount sticking an inch out of the back of the TV. Apparently, someone stripped it out so it's just stuck in there. There are still factory seals so no one has ever opened the TV up. They just stuck it back in a box and pawned their problems off on me!

great tv

I had mixed feelings about this tv at first. It was advertised that it would come in original packaging, the box that arrived at my house, looked like it could hold a 70 in tv, but inside was NOT another box but a loose tv, almost devoid of any type of packing, the tv was loose and able to move back in forth. I thought it had to be damaged, I took it out of the box, and had to clean the screen of the smudges. Luckily it didn't have any scratches on the screen. The stand however was another thing, it looked like it had been abused somewhere. Good news was that once installed you are looking at the tv and not the stand. The TV does everything that it was advertised to do. Wonderful color, easy setup and operation. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another refurbished tv from Walmart, knowing full well of their excellent return policy.

From LCD to LED, WoW what a difference!!

I remember when I purchased my 46" LCD and sat back and said "wow, now this is a clear picture". My Vizio arrived on a Saturday and I quickly switched the sets. This TV was like a feather compared to the LCD I took down. After all the connections were made AC, HDMI and cable, I turned it on and did the setup or I should say the TV did did it. I was blown away by the clarity in HD programs in regular TV programs. It was when I turned on my PS3 that I was truly amazed The crispness and fine lines were as if I had just corrected my vision with the right prescription. There may be better TVs out there but the quality you receive at this price is unbeatable. Very thin bezel disappears as soon as you watch the picture. Almost forgot, built in WiFi means no wires for the Smart Applications and computer files (photos, music and videos). Tons of Smart Apps available. Can not say to much on the installed speakers because I have a Surround system installed. In closing I would like to add that after viewing my friends high end LED and then coming home to mine. I do not see the difference. P.S. get the 3 year warranty it comes to about a little over 5 cents a day now thats a deal. So Great TV even Greater price and I love coming home and turning it on (makes even bad movies look good).
