18 months life spam

After only 18 months old and past the warranty the TV made a large pop and no power at all. Reviewed U tube to repair, found blown fuse that is soldered in place and no replacement available. Called Vizio and they said they have no issues but why are there refurbished boards available then? They want $235 plus shipping and tax for it. How long would it last? The internals are made by LG. I believe if you spend $ 1300 (prices dropped a lot and now i know why)for something it should last more than 18 months and the manufacture should extend years to the warranty if they believe in there products.
When I unpacked this tv there was a dent on the back. I should have returned it at that time. I bought this for the wireless feature but every time I watched netflex it would freeze up and I would have to unplug the power inorder to make it work. On the 14th month of owning this tv it went out. Now I am stuck with an expensive piece of useless electronics.

Great TV

I have had this TV for 2 days now and can not be happier with it. Our old TV was a Samsung DLP 42" with the lamp in it. It was a nice TV and had it for 5 years and the other night the lamp went out for the 2nd time. My husband and I had been researching TV's for about 2 weeks prior to the old Samsungs lamp demise. I read reviews of many TV's during that 2 weeks and watched prices. This VIzio is the one we chose. It was a great price. I had read reviews about the Edge Lit TV''s and some were good and bad, but most reviews gave it a good review. This TV lives up to Vizio's reputation. It was very easy to set up, The hardest part of set up for me was getting the base on. Once it was on we put it on our stand and just hooked up the rest of the cables and it was ready to go. I have adjusted some of the picture settings to what we like. All the features on this TV work well and for the price, you get allot of features that some TV's don't have. I downloaded the whole owners manual since this only comes with a quick start up guide. The picture is beautiful and crisp. We did also buy the Vizio sound bar and glad we did. It adds a bit more to the sound. You wont be disappointed in this TV.

DISSAPOINTED

OVER ALL I WAS DISPLEASED WITH MY PURCHASE! I ENDED UP RETURNING THE TV AND RECEIVING MY MONEY BACK AND BOUGHT THE SAME EXACT TV AT SAMS CLUB WITH BETTER QUALITY! WHEN I RECEIVED THE PACKAGE THE BOX WAS SEVERALLY DAMANGED..I WAS HESITATE TO EVEN BRING MY PURCHASE HOME BUT GAVE IT A SHOT I HAVE PURCHASED FROM WALMART.COM BEFORE WITH NO PROBLEMS..WHEN I TOOK THE TV OUT THE BOX I FOUND THREE MAJOR DENTS ON THE TV ITSELF ON THE FRAME. I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED AND DID NOT SPEND THIS AMOUNT OF MONEY FOR A PHYSICALLY DAMANGED TV. I RETURNED THE ITEM AND I AM MORE THAN HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE FROM SAM'S CLUB.

Great Buy for 55" TV

After seeing our 46" Samsung lcd picture get worse over the past year, we decided it was time to replace it with a new TV. We could not be happier with the M550SL from Vizio. Picture quality is amazing and does very well showing Blu-ray videos, football, and just about anything. I have made minor changes to the (factory set) picture settings. I am also happy with a larger screen and can see the difference in picture quality over our last TV. The only complaint I have is that the TV leans back in the stand. This can be fixed easily by adding something underneath the base. We have not fully tested the wifi features yet. It's a nice value for the price and I highly recommend it to others looking for flat screen TV's in this size range.

Great 55 inch

We studied many of the available 50 to 60 inch models out there and settled on this one. We already have a 42" Vizio plasma that has given us good service for over 6 years. This model was easy to set up and is great with the WIFI for us. The colors don't seem as hot as with the plasma but in a bright room they seem equal in terms of light washing out the color picture. Glare on both units is about equal so don't fall for less glare on the LCD stories you read.

Great purchase for the price

I've read many reviews for this and was worried about the black screen problems but this is my second Vizio and both work splendidly. No black screen problems on this and I played Xbox 360, blu rays, on demand, hdmi from my computer. All excellent. Great price for a very good quality tv. Use the apps often.

Amazing Picture

After much shopping around this seemed to be the best quality purchase for the lowest amount. We are very pleased with this purchase.

Great TV

Bought this to replace a 50" Samsung in our living room, very glad we did. Has great picture and sound. Very easy to set up to up!

great buy

I have had this TV for 4 months now and continue to be amazed by its picture clarity, sound, and ease of operations!
