VET Solutions Pro-Pectalin For Dogs and Cats contains Kaolin, Pectin and Microencapsulated Viable (live) naturally occurring microorganisms.
Pro-Pectalin is intended to help resolve diarrhea that may be caused by stress, antibiotic administration, change in diet or other simple, non-life threatening forms of diarrhea.
Kaolin, a type of clay, soothes irritated intestines, absorbs water, and absorbs any excess bacterial toxins which may be produced when your pet has diarrhea. By absorbing water, kaolin helps to firm stool.
The soothing action of kaolin will help make your pet feel better.
Pectin is a form of fiber found in fruit. It helps to absorb water and firm stool.
The beneficial bacteria found in Pro-Pectalin are freeze dried, microencapsulated Enterococcus faecium, which is part of the normal intestinal flora.

Our 4 month okd puppy ate pieces of his crate blanket and we had to remove the blanket. We couldnt afford the tests and boarding the vet required. We faced two choices: see of this stuff worked with the pumpkin puree, and nausea meds the vet prescribed or put him down because the runs and vomiting was so bad. We gave him the pro pectalin with everything else. He was sick for 4 days. 24 hours after we began the pro pectalin he made a full 180 degree rise to inprovement. His poop is growing more solid, his stomach is less swollen, hes more alert and less tired and sickly. We are still going to give him more until he returns to 100% but hes at about 75% now from the 20% he was at when sick. This stuff rocks! Thanks for helping us save our puppy. Still recommend a vet visit at least but if all else fails and you lack money try this first before deciding to euthanize a sickly cat or dog. if you see no inprovement in 72 hours then decide.

I have a notorious chewer of anything. He is a foster fail so exact age I don't have. When we got him our vet estimated 6 months and she is good. Been using her for 25 years, so I rely upon her accuracy and estimation. We've only had him 4 1/2 months and have already spent $2000 in vet bills. $1500 of that to the emergency vet in six weeks over two visits for extreme diarrhea and vomiting from eating things he shouldn't. Even though we are constantly going behind ourselves to make sure everything is put up he is a little sneak and even with loads of appropriate chew items, he gets into things, (a magic eraser, pen, zipper pull on dog beds, etc), and off to the emergency clinic we go. This is what the vet at the clinic put him on last time and his diarrhea was so severe he had blood with it. I ran out and called them for more. They told me the vet he saw wasn't there that day which would mean another charge but I could get it online. I did. I appreciated both the recommendation and being able to get it from Walmart. It is easy to administer and you can set the exact dose for your fur baby. The smaller tube you can use for both cats and dogs and the correct amount is set for you by weight. Therefore if you have cats and or a small dog, don't buy the larger tube thinking you will have more, or a better buy for the money, because the amount of the doses will be too much for the little ones. Each tube the 15 or 30 ml is set for about a weeks worth (14) of doses. You administer it about every eight hours. It should clear up everything by day four. It is a good product. It usually comes with a box of probiotics in capsule form that you can give in pill form or sprinkle on their food. Use with a totally bland diet (boiled fresh chicken, white rice), and your fur baby will be back to their happy self in no time.
