Ever dream of having 3600 employees working for you? For free? The VermiHut 3-Tray Recycled Plastic Worm Composter - Black is worm heaven, and they'll cheerfully go to work composting the kitchen waste you used to throw away. This odorless, compact system is fast and efficient: start worms on the bottom shelf, and they migrate up as they finish, leaving behind the richest black dirt you've ever seen. Just pull out the bottom tray, refill it with scraps and put it back on top. The included simple instructions are for you; the worms already know what to do.
This 3-tray composter is made of black high-density polyethylene, durable and odor-proof. Worms aren't included, but you can order them at checkout. We recommend starting with 1000 worms. Their numbers will grow fast, because they're wallowing in the lap of worm luxury, if worms had laps. Expect a colony of 3600 worms, all working for you.
How does it work?
It's easy. Fill each tray with scraps: vegetables, fruits, egg shells, coffee grounds, and paper (yep, junk mail is worm candy). Your worms will dig in, happily, silently, odorlessly, leaving behind the very best compost available, for free. Your plants will go nuts. You don't have to sift through the wiggly workers because they've already moved up to the next tray. Super nutrient-rich moisture is captured in the drip tray, the famous liquid fertilizer known by fans as "worm tea."
Benefits of the VermiHut Worm Composter
Odorless: Breathe easy. Follow the easy instructions included, and this natural process breaks down smelly garbage into rich black dirt, fresh as a spring day.
Compact: The trays stack, taking up little space. No big tumbler, no shoveling.
Easy: No more running out to your composter to mix it up every week! The worms do the work for you, recycling up to 5 pounds of food per week. They don't take nights off, so you get compost faster, a whole tray of nutrient-rich castings every month.
