This phone has a pendant to wear around your neck or you can use the belt , it has 2 numbers to call for a lifeline.
It is very loud & announces who is calling, you can turn that feature off if you wish.
It was easy to set up & I like it & feel a lot safer now.

Great phone for emergencies, I really like it

Excellent for person who might have difficulty dialing a regular phone. Buttons on side can be very annoying when accidentally pushed, but these can be silenced. Extra safety pendants are available if you want to buy them. After completing a call, the person needs to press the lit button, or the phone line will be in an "in use" state. I wish it would reset the phone line to be able to make or receive a new call, but it doesn't seem to. Please make sure the person using the phone understands this.

Phone & Pendant charged easily and I installed with no problems. A few instructions on use for Mom (90+) and you could see she was pleased, especially after a recent fall. Only caution is putting the Pendant back in the charger. Mom accidentally hit the talk button and being very hard of hearing, she couldn't hear the buzzing of the open line. The tab that holds the lanyard should be a little larger so it can be used to hold onto the Pendant when placing it in the charger. Still, I would not hesitate to buy it.

Careline - Piece of mind for Mom (and us)!

Could not afford monthly fees that regular monotors charge this monoter has a 200 hr. talk time and has to be replaced at a cost of only $29.00 .use is very easy talk to 911 just like phone calls with push of button same as phone talk to 911 for price was very suprised how good it is. one time purchase of phone 79.99 is worth price and the safety i have now without the high cost of monthly monotor systems.

Bought this for my 92 year old dad who has been falling more frequently. Love the pendant
as it is simple to use and effective. He carries it on his belt . Love the fact that it picks up normal calls
and he won't fall running to get the phone. The two speeddial options are brilliant. Though I haven't tested the other features, answering machine and so on, it seems to be a wellmade unit. Tried a cellphone but this seems to be a better choice for a mostly housebound person. Would have liked a texting option with the speedial but you can't have it all.

Great phone system for a senior

We purchased this for our Senior - to keep track of her and also so she could easily answer her phone without falling down to get to her land line. It works great and is easy for her to handle. The best part is that it is a "one shot deal" - you pay for the unit once - no monthly monitoring fees and you have a home security system for you elder parent.
Only problem is the range because it is only good inside of the house - which is what we wanted - but if you want something with a larger range you will have to pay a monthly fee from a service company. Other than that - it is perfect for a home bound senior.

Seniors Need This!

I have pseudo seizures, mini-strokes, and syncope!! I'm not supposed to be left alone at all! This phone has helped ease my mind for my husband to be able to go back to work. The necklace is perfect because I can call 911 and/or my husband with the push of a button. It is also a speaker phone, when someone calls I can answer it with that also. It has a long range on it also, which helps if I'm outside at the clothesline or garden.

Great for anyone who needs help 24/7!

I replaced a medical alert service with this system. I tend to fall in the shower and needed something to be able to call 911 if needed. The pendant buttons are very sensitive and I have called 911 several times by mistake. Also, the pendant is big and bulky to wear all the time. I hang it in my shower where I hopefully can get to it if needed but do not wear it at other times. It's not as good as my other pendant but is cheaper....no monthly fees.

telephone ok but pendant is terrible

Pros.: Lots of features.
Cons.: Poor location for volume control. Every time one picks up phone you accidently hit the + or - switch on the side of the phone.

Phone #s are stored alphabetically. Access by the # keys requires many key strokes if for example you have many names that begin with A,B, or C. To reach the a B entry you must down or up the arrow through half the list to reach the B entry.

If you have two pendants, it is not possible to select two different call numbers for the two pendants.

If the base phone answering system is set for 6 rings and a pendant is turned on, the phone rings just once!

The manual included is a abbreviated version. You must download the full version. Neither manual is well organized for ease of understanding. I spent several hours laboring over the instructions in setting up the system for my 90+ parents who ultimately rejected the Careline Home Safety Phone.

I returned the works to Walmart.
