I have had this head set for a bit now and I love it and for the price you really can't beat it. The clarity of the lenses is great and it is very light weight. Being able to adjust the IDP manually is a plus as well. If you are looking for a VR headset to start with and don't have much money I would recommend this one. If you would like to see more check out my videos on this headset at my youtube channel. http://bit.ly/2hg23QP

WASTE OF MONEY
doesnt work. tried to get it working on my system, but it would not work at all. spent over 18hrs on this WASTE OF SPACE AND MONEY. DO NOT BUY unless you enjoy throwing money into a trash can. the controller that comes with it actually works though. im surprised. its ultra cheap and you can get them for $9 in store.. again, DO NOT BUY

Great Headset that needs a little bit of tweaking

At first I was a bit skeptical of this due to some not so great reviews here and videos online.I decided to take the plunge anyways with the 1440x1440p model and I am enjoying it a ton. Plus the Steam card combo deal was fantastic! The Headset comes with an Xbox One like Controller that is surprisingly decent. They do not come with a motion controls. You can make cheap motion controls using stuff like the Wiimote and such look up stuff like Freepie VR on YouTube. Another thing is this is for PCs only and you can convert almost all your games to 3D and play them in the Headset. Look up BlueSkyDefender's SuperDepth3D for Reshade. Nvidia users look up 3D Fix Manager. Then install Big Screen Beta in Steam. Now for a moment. Lets push the 3D / VR function to the side. The fact you can watch videos and play games on a giant screen makes this worth the sale price alone (Steam Card bundle a no brainer). So the fact that is does VR and 3D well and comes with a decent Controller makes this an amazingly cool deal. Now setting it up.... Goto direkt-tek .com/support/ and find WVR1, WVR2,

Awesome headset, should not be this cheap!

This is an excellent headset especially for the price. It only works for games that don't need motion controllers. It's ideal for racing games which is my favorite genre. I just followed the instructions along with some additional info posted on steam forums and everything worked perfectly. The screen is sharp and gorgeous. The only downside so far is the cable length is too short for my setup but that will be fixed with extension cables. The documentation is not very detailed but it is enough to get going, the drivers and "user manual" are in the included cd. Just had to make sure everything was updated to the latest versions. The controller is serviceable and is recognized as an Xbox 360 controller in windows but it's no where near as good as console controller, which I recommend you use anyway. Again, for the price, this headset can't be beat.

Great for trying seated PC VR

I have the WVR3 model which is the best spec unit. Everything installed fairly easy and I was using SteamVR in less than 30 minutes after opening it. Screen quality is great once you adjust the straps and IPD sliders but the headphone quality using the headset port was lower than my motherboard sound (High Impedance headphones sounded weak). This is my first PC VR hardware so I don't know how it compares to others but for the price it is way better than the phone VR like Samsung and Cardboard. It also comes with a controller that feels lighter than a standard Xbox controller but functions surprisingly well with a decent battery life on wireless. Given the price and surprising screen quality alone its definitely worth the purchase.

Worth it

First of all $20 for a real vr headset is a great deal it doesn't have motion tracking you can look around and that's pretty much it. most steam games will require you to have vive controllers to even play the game but I got some mmo and racing games working and working well, the software is pretty bad but just install it and get on steam, hit the vr headset icon in the top right and install steam vr, after that you can play steam vr games. The 2 $20 headsets have no eye adjustment and they have 1 hdmi and 1 usb. The 4K one has eye adjustment and 1 hdmi and 2 usbs the controller is ps4 like and is wireless, with a usb A cable for recharging the battery and in my opinion the controller alone is worth the $20 . I so far have had a good experience and think it is definitely worth the money if you can install the software correctly and find some games that work with a normal controller or mouse and keyboard

Pretty Good for $20 IF Your PC can Push It -Check!

I am reviewing a Mirage Solo now, but I got this VR TEK for $20, and I opened it up. WOW! It has a LOT of components: Remote, Game Controller, plug in equipment for pc and power. Just a nice well rounded step into first VR. Just be certain your PC can push it. If not, VR Tek has as of now (21June2019) a VR Tek All-In-One for $39 and one for $59. Those require no phone to put inside unit and no pc, just a phone for your set up, and you gotta have wifi for all VR in my view or you just cannot get the games! So if your pc will push it, and you wanna try VR cheap, go for it. Soon I will tell you how it does when the test is in a the Solo, also sold by Wal Mart online.

IMHO an Excellent introduction to the VR World

Excellent performace for the price. Very happy with it. Games I tested and played using the Headset and the included controller: Subnautica, Skyrim VR, Solus Project, Everspace, RaceRoom Experience, DCS World, Lucky's Tales, Vox Machinae and several others. Games played extremelly well. My Setup: Intel Core i7-7700K, 32GB Ram, Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb. This headset introduced me to the VR world, and I am really enjoing it, so next will be buying a Rift S or an Odyssey+ for when No Man's Sky Beyond releases.

Go for it!

i saw this and just had to buy it. I don't have the time or money to get into the high end stuff. That said, this is great if you want to test the waters. i would rather spend $30 than spend $400 just to have it sit around. Better than what I expected at this price.

WASTE OF MONEY

doesnt work. tried to get it working on my system, but it would not work at all. spent over 18hrs on this WASTE OF SPACE AND MONEY. dont make sense

why would this come with a xbox one if you can only use it with a PC. this makes no sense

1. Yes, but if there are graphics customization, keep everything near low as my minimum recommendation for NVIDIA based graphics is a 1050 2GB

2. My minimum recommendation for any PC VR (graphics at least) is an AMD Radeon RX 560 2GB or for NIVIDIA based graphics, a GeForce GTX 1050 2GB
