    Great VIZIO TV!

Great VIZIO TV. Better than expected. Colors pop and picture is wonderful. This is my first HDTV. I watch a lot of sporting events and with the 240HZ refresh rate there is seemless motion blur. I am very happy I got this product without the 3D feature.

    Good picture, poor sound

I was able to evaluate the picture quality in the store, so it wasn't a surprise that the picture quality was very good once I got the television home. However, you can't evaluate the sound adequately in the store. The sound is very poor. It was odd having this nice large television with a nice high definition video, with sound that sounds like it's coming from a phone speaker. An unplanned $100 expenditure on a sound bar fixed this problem. If you buy a sound bar for this television, I recommend getting a Vizio brand sound bar so you can control it with your television remote sound buttons. Just plug it in, program it to your remote, and turn off the cheap television speakers and you are in business. I bought the soundbar with the built in base speaker, and the television sounds like a television should. Not worse, not better. If you obsess on looking at the actors lips, you will notice that the sound is slightly off. There's an adjustment for this, but I can't quite get it perfect. I do admit that I'm a bit OCD though. This may be due to communication delay between the TV and the soundbar. With all this, I would probably make the same purchase

great picture, especially for the money

really clear, very thin profile, terrific value

    Vizio believer

This is my 3rd Vizio over a period of 4 years (all running great) and I've never had a problem with the first two 32-inchers. Their hi-def pictures and great contrast convinced me to try the 55-inch not yet available in stores (that I am aware of). This latest edition M-series does not disappoint. It has an absolutely stunning picture! Built-in preferences can get you to the picture quality exactly as most pleasing to your personal tastes, warm, vibrant, cool, whatever. Also, a feature of the remote I appreciate is a built-in Netflix button which takes me right to my Netflix account (via my home wifi of course) to browse and choose the next movie to watch. The Amazon and I-heart buttons on either side of the Netflix button I will never use. (Amazon browsing and purchases are strictly through my faster/easier computer) The backside of the remote has a small qwerty keyboard that lights up for a short time however I found I really don't use much but perhaps some folks would. What I do use a lot is the Mute button for TV viewing and the Pause button for Netflix. (who doesn't use these buttons?) The buttons are hard to find because they are the same size as all the smaller buttons and I must look to find them every time. In a darkened room this is not always easy and bit of a pain. (Vizio, in the future make those two buttons so they can be found by touchy-feely) Since this was a major, long-term (hopefully) investment I decided to also purchase the 4-yr warranty offered by Walmart. Btw, Walmart delivered this thing to my home safe and sound and surprisingly fast via FedEx. I was impressed by Walmart's online service and delivery and will use them alongside of Amazon for future purchases.

Seeing more information, best picture ever

This completely overloaded with functions and controls, is kind of rough on this boomer. But the manual is real easy to follow if you choose not to use the "Quick Set-Up" that auto starts at first power on. This is the clearest most defined picture. Big change from my 8 panel and this beautiful 32 panel. Easy, easy set-up, only been working on the echo between the Blu-ray surround and the TV. My number one comment about this TV is the beautiful clear (adjustable) mode picture!!!

    horrible for gaming

I bought this tv for because it said 240hz. There is NO GAME MODE. For all gamers that play online competitively, this tv has a input lag. The tv looks ok but has to be adjusted for movies and TV separately. Blue seems to glow and bleed into other colors. I found this out when my girlfriend watched finding nemo. The remote control eats through the batteries really fast and since we only use it for volume, input, Netflix, and power it seems like alot. I've had it for about 8 months and I've replaced them 4 times. The controller also stops working and you have to get up and turn the tv off. If you don't have a controller (such as lost, dead, or broken) then all you can do is change input or turn it off/on. The reason is cause there is only one but on the back of the tv and that's it. Netflix is the only app we actually use on the Tv and it's slow to respond.

    Easy set up

I got this delevered to my house and was home when it arrived. I had it in the house and set up within 2 hours and took my time. Great picture and easy to use so far. All good

Easy to set up and it has a great picture.

Exceeds my expectations. The set-up was simple and I was watching great TV much sooner than I expected. The picture is so clear that I can now see the thinks that the director missed in the production. Football is a new experience with this TV. I am glad I bought a Sound Bar since the audio is weak relative to the video.

    Best picture ever

Only had it a week, but so far this is the most amazing picture quality I've ever had in any TV I've owned. Love everything about this TV EXCEPT that it fails not have enough jacks for game consoles, external speakers/surround sound. Wish I had paid more attention to those specs before I ordered it.

    Vizio tv

I recently, within the last couple months, bought a vizio 50 inch smart tv. Not this particular Vizio. My wife and I wanted a smart tv with wireless capability so we bought the Vizio E500 model from here. Beware that the wireless feature is poor to put it mildly. I am running roadrunner turbo and have a straight line of sight connection to the tv that is just 20-25 feet from the router and the wireless connection is never good. It show's a strong connection on the settings but if you go to watch streaming apps, 90% of the time it just drops during a show or won't connect at all. I can stream on smaller devices, ipad's,ipods, and laptops at a farther distance from the router, and in other rooms with absolutely no problem. I have spoken to other's with the Vizio tv's who have all complained about the same problem. The only way that this tv will have a connection to the internet that might last for a show is if it is hardwired.
