    • A. It is still in the original box. You get a 90 days return policy from walmart. After that you get nothing. The website states you have a 6 month warranty from Vizio, however the TV was refurbished by a third party, not vizio, so there is NO warranty from vizio and walmart will not make any effort to remedy the situation. I now have a $700 piece of scrap plastic and steel hanging on my wall that I'm supposed to stare at every day. Maybe I'll hang a picture over it, so at least I can see something pretty

My husband and I were a bit weary to order a TV online especially one that was refurbished. We saw the Vizio and decided to take a leap of faith and I am so glad that I did! We watched The Kingdom of Heaven and it was amazing. The picture was very clear and it looked like it was almost in real life! Also, the sound was so good we decided we do not even need a surround sound. Although, others might think differently if they have a larger living room because we are in an apartment. This brand definitely exceeded our expectations and I would highly recommend it to anyone who may be undecided.

The TV is better than excellent for the money. The sound quality is weak but not to the extreme as others have described in their reviews. The sound is comfortable for almost any living space. In order to rectify this problem with the sound you can connect a surround sound system to it and the problem is solved. You will not be disappointed with the system. The picture quality is excellent. Sharp and crisp is all you will get with this 60" beauty. The smart TV options work very well. The slim design is slick and stylish. I love the purchase I made for the family and they seem happy with the decision. If you do decide to purchase one I hope it will bring you the same satisfaction I received from my purchase. Right off the bat you save $300 from the regular priced 60" Vizio that's selling online and in the store. The only thing that I saw from my ‘refurbished’ model was that the box was torn on the top. Everything inside of the box was untouched. Good Luck!!!

I certainly would have preferred an LG, Samsung, Panasonic, or Sharp TV. Originally, those were the only brands I was considering. I feel that the build quality, the picture, and sound quality of the Vizio is not at the same level as the other brands mentioned. But the Refurbished Vizio was only $750! It was cheap and that's really the only reason I bought a Vizio. It has a lot of features at a low price, which makes it a great value. I am still leery of the quality of Vizio, so I did purchase the 4 yr extended warranty. In my opinion, Vizio has not been around long enough to prove themselves over the long run. This particular model did have a bad chip that caused a lot of these TV's to fail soon after purchase. I suppose they really had no other choice. Vizio did stand behind them and give people new TV's. Then they fixed them and sold them as refurbs. Let's hope they got it right the 2nd time around. I should note that I am very particular and fussy about most purchase- electronics in particular. Overall, I am very satisfied with this TV.

Vizio is making a strong statement to the large traditional electronic companies....You better reduce your prices on your big HDTVs by at least 30%. This TV is a terrific buy, no question. The bugs of their first production runs have been worked out. Very, very good picture in our bright family room. Picture adjustments from the factory were good but some tweaking is required if want the best picture quality. Cons: 1-Speaker output on the weak side but is fine for watching TV broadcasts. Stand is a weak point but our kids are gone... 2-Picture adjustments could have been some better-no white balance. Not a big deal for the over-all value of this unit. ( Color balance is very good.) We couldn't be more pleased. I spent many years in electronics, ten using VERY HIGH END display devices and this one is terrific for $1,000. We would have gotten the 70 inch but it was a tad to large for mounting over the fireplace. Plasma will be crushed by LED TVs in 3 years or so.

Long story short, I returned it and ordered another one because i liked the TV that much. Expecially for the price! When it arrived (which took two weeks), the TV bezel was bent which caused some color and light distortion and it had some unrelated clouding in the corners. I also noticed that the back panel of the unit was warped like it overheated or something. Other than that, the unit performed flawlessly. The WIFI was strong, the colors were accurate, and the HD content looks great. I agree that the Smart TV apps are a bit outdated, but it does have Amazon Instant Video which was HUGE for us. I hooked up my computer to it and video games do just fine. My recomendation is spend the extra $89 and get the 3-year protection plan. I've seen a lot of reviews that say that after 3 months the picture went out on these particular units. My guess is that you will get a refurb that had this issue at one point.

I bought this television a week before the super bowl. I figured this was a good time to buy a new television with sales going on big screens. I was very pleased with the picture and all the extras that came with the Vizio smart television. One day short of owning the television while watching a ncaa mens basketball game no picture sound continued. I tried all the tricks and called customer service they were no help but it was a Sunday afternoon. Monday I returned the television to walmart and they refunded my money no questions. I learned as long as it is within 90 days they will refund the purchase, after 90 days though you are on your own sending it back to manufacture. It was a hassle getting the 60 inch television back to walmart but to ship it back to Vizio would have been a different set of challenges. Cheers to Walmart and their return policy.

At 1st week it WAS great. Picture perfect! The following week after I got off work; I turn the TV on and everything was fine. An hour later, a BLUE LINE vertical in the middle of the screen appeared. It won't go away. I turn it off. I reset to factory default, etc., nothing work. Lucky enough, I pre-printed the return barcode receipt and save the box. And I will be returning this TV to Walmart Local Store for a credit. This TV is 60" big; therefore, I also rented a small mini van cost me $100 to pick up from the Store. And I hope my neighbor can help me load this in their truck so I don't have to rent another mini-van. I have a Vizio 42" LCD I owned for the last two years. And that 42" was purchased brand new from the store. And that 42" still working great! However, this 60" is a refurbished from the website. I'm highly disappointed. Las Vegas, Nevada

My uncle had gotten this TV from Sam's Club several months ago. I was a little jealous because the picture quality was AMAZING! When I saw this pop up the website for $748 as a refurb, I had to get it. Now, with that, I did buy the three year warranty. I picked up the box last night. Although the box isn't original, it was packaged very professionally, and had a manual and remotes and cord. I'm EXTREMELY happy with this item! Thank you!

Really disappointed with this TV. I bought it on a bit of an impulse because of the size and price and then found a lot of reviews from people having issues with the sound, WiFi functionality as well as people having the screens just black out after a few months. I guess that part is my fault for not looking before I leapt. I decided to take the risk and go with it anyway to see how it fared. When we got the TV home and unpacked it I was really impressed with how thin it was. It really is a beautiful TV. Got it mounted on our TV stand, put power to it and immediately heard a buzzing noise coming from the speakers. I thought this was definitely a red flag but after unplugging and plugging back in the buzzing stopped so I let it go. Next I tried connecting the TV to my WiFi Router. I have connected countless devices to this router, countless times. Both my wife and I have laptops, smartphones and tablets. Never a single problem connecting any of those devices. The TV absolutely refused to connect. I rebooted the Router, reconfigured it to be wide open with no security and got... Nothing. It just kept telling me it couldn't connect. I had a cable patched over to my XBOX 360 and used it to plug the TV into the Router and it connected fine. OK great, so a weird noise and the WiFi is uncooperative. Fine... Frustrating, but I'm not willing to give up yet. I'll try the WiFi process again later. The remote was a cool idea with the keyboard on the back. Unfortunately I discovered that it was IR only and if you held the remote like you would if you were using your thumbs to type you covered the IR sensor and it wouldn't type on screen. Good thinking guys! We got the TV working and the first thing noticed was that the sound quality on the TV is pretty tinny. I actually expected this to be a little on the bad side as there isn't a whole lot of room to pack a speaker into. Quite honestly, I am no audiophile but even I was looking at sound bars after I got it! A few days went by and My wife called me at the office to report the TV had made a funny noise and powered off. At that point I told her "OK, one more thing and we are going to have to take it back". Sure enough, a week later the Sound quit completely and it started making a repeating tick noise. tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick. No audio, just tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick. I did some research to see if I could resolve it and read something along the lines of "This is a sign of a major component failure". I was glad I hung onto the box. Packed it back up and returned it to the store for a refund. Kind of a shame as I really liked the TV. Unfortunately, after all of the horror stories I read about the TV after I bought it, I think I am going to steer clear of Vizio when I decide to buy another TV. So others can make informed decisions (I wish I had) before you click the buy button, do a web search for: vizio e601i-a3 screen fail vizio e601i-a3 wifi problems vizio e601i-a3 audio problems So you know what you are potentially getting into. It's not a guarantee that you will have problems, but it is worth checking out. One last thing:Despite all the trouble I had with the TV, I would like to say that Walmart did a great job with the Site to Store process and the return was completely painless so my thanks goes out to them for that.

Very good product at an excellent price. I purchased the refurbished model from Wal-Mart online and had it shipped. The original TV came within a week and was cracked by the shipping company in transit. Wal-Mart had another TV shipped the next day and arrived within a week. Disappointed that I had to wait two weeks, but for a good product at a great price it was worth it.
