  • A. In order for the 3D to work on the player you are going to need to make sure you have a 3D DVD. The BluRay will not convert 2D to 3D.

  • A. Yes. The movie has to be in 3D for this player to be of true benefit. If you have an old DVD that has an anaglyph 3D movie on it (with the blue/red glasses) you can play it just fine and put on those old blue/red glasses and watch your 3D movie. The 3D that they're talking about with this player, however, requires a special TV and special shutter glasses. The movies have to be made, specifically, for this new 3D technology in order to work. You'll want to look for movies that say they're made for 3D HDTV -- and they will always be Blu-Ray discs. If you have a DVD that says it's 3D, but it's just a regular DVD (not a Blu-Ray) then it's not this "new" 3D technology -- those are probably the blue/red old-school 3D discs (which will still play on whatever TV you want them to play on, but you don't need this or any other special player for those old 3D movies to work).

Received this product as a birthday gift, Connected it ti Vizio 42" LED?LCD tv with Vizio HDMI cables. I also purchased exrended service plan haha. No matter what function I use, CD, DVD, BluRay, Netflix online, Pandora online Dvd tray will open randomly stopping whatever you were watching or listening to. May not accept at all or may stop anywhwere anytime. Can not power off, 5 seconds later will turn itself back on and tray will open. What is worse than the operation, is the customer sevice at Vizio. I tried online chat, opened a case number, fix lasted til I disconnected with tech. Tried resolving through email, was given phone number to speak with tech. (given new case number) After holding on phone for 20 minutes I spoke with tech. They gave me a new case #, you see online chat, emai and phone do not communicate with each other, had to start over like this was my first complaint. After doing the same trouble shooting wit all 3 they decided there may be a problem. Was told to fax my proof of purchase, which they should already have, since I needed it to register and buy an extended service plan through Vizio. They told me I would hear from Vizio in 48 hours. They will then decide if it will bew repaired or replaced. Come On!!! It's new!!!

Only watched 2 blu-ray movies so far 1 3D, 1 regular Blu-ray. I use my TV's remote to control this player so I can't comment on the remote that came with it. I checked and updated the firmware before watching any movies and didn't have any of the problems that other's have reported. It connected to my wireless router easilly(only had to select my router from list and push the button on router). Both movies played without problems thats why I gave it 5 stars. I gave 4 stars for value just for the high price.

Thought I was getting a good deal for the price but was sad to get it home and find out that it would not play one of the two Blu Ray DVDs I bought, T2 Skynet Edition. It just says it cannot connect to the internet. Netflix part works fine so there is a connection. Went to Vizio's homepage for help to find out it says not all videos are playable ??? Also the remote is horrible. Buttons are clunky and the play/pause ink wiped off the button in less than two hours of use. Took it back and ended up buying the Sony 3-D player for 40 bucks more and are totally satisfied so far! Don't waste your money on this!

I paired my Vizio 3D Blu-ray™ Player with Wireless Internet Apps with a Vizio 47” Class Full Array TRULED™ LCD 3D HDTV and purchased the Vizio 3D glasses. Set-up was a breeze. You just have to program the code from your wireless router into the system and be up and running in no time at all. The picture is excellent. The sound quality is very good. Streaming movies from Netfilx, Amazon, and Vudu has been a snap. We’ve played Blu-ray™ and DVDs, Audio CDs, MP3s and Jpegs without any difficulty.

I purchased this product and after 21 days it malfunctioned. I cannot return it to Walmart since the return policy is 15 days. Spoke to Vizio support who after transferring me several times told me that my only option was to return the product and wait 21 days for a replacement. This is the worst product purchase. Save yourself the loss of $200 and invest in a better product.

this is the second one i bought,first one the blu-ray reader did not work,second one only works sometimes. and the remote is frustrating...i have to press the buttons very hard and i have to be very close to player pointing it directly at player. i dont recommend this product

And this goes for pretty much ANY Vizio product or service. The expected life of any Vizio product is LESS THAN 3 YEARS! This is why both Vizio and Walmart will try to sell you the extended warranty plan. Read the reviews here and on consumeraffairs.com. Vizio "customer service" will make you jump through or sorts of hoops to try to resolve any problem and then they will tell you there is nothing they can do. My player lasted 1 year and 4 months and says "no disc" no matter what I try, but it's out of warranty, so I'm out of luck and out of a Blu-Ray player and out of my money. Please save a bit longer and get a durable brand/product that is actually worth your money.

I bought this blu-ray player and within 2 hrs of buying it Vizio had my factory restore it 2 times and wanted me to a third time. The 1st time it wouldn't connect to my wireless internet so I had to reset it and then type all the codes in, then my apps wouldn't work so I to again reset it, type in internet codes again then they worked. When I went to get Hulu Plus it was not in the app store so Vizio to me to reset it again, I refused and returned this player. When a did or netflix, Vudu or Pandora was playing it would skip through the whole thing. Plus half of the menu was not showing on the screen. So be smart and DON'T buy this blu-ray player!

The player does not shut off. Whenever I turn it off, it turned back on immediately and opened the DVD try into the front doors of my cabinet. Every time I turned it off, it turned back on, opening the tray again. I would close the tray, it opened the tray. Randomly it would turn off then on again. This player is not worth a single dollar. I called Vizio and their response was that the player is bad and will take 3 weeks to get it replaced. They advised returning it to Walmart. Great idea. Going to do it today. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!

product defective on sencond BLUE-RAY played, picture broke up then froze, tried a DVD and it did the same. first time buyer on this brand name and it will be the last.
