I love my Vizio 36' 2.1 soundbar with sub. My brother in law's have much more expensive 5.1, and 2.1 sound systems from LG and Samsung respectively, and honestly I feel this sounds better at half the cost. I consider myself somewhat of an audiophile too! I like flat sound curves and always use studio Audio Technica for listening to music and watching movies on my computer. I love how simple it was to set up, controls are easy. Highly recommended! Can fill the whole room with great audio from treble, mids, and definitely has the bass need for movies. I actually have to turn down the sub and bass a lot.

VIZIO 36" 2.1 Channel Soundbar System - SB3621n-E8
Great features, attractive appearance, easy set up
I'm very happy with this product. It's attractive and looks great mounted on the wall with the included hanger gizmos under my 55" TV.
Heads up, wall anchors are not included, you need to get them separately.
The sound is fantastic for a hundred dollar unit, can't be beat. The bass is surprisingly full and vibrant without getting muddy or distorted.
Apparently there are multiple versions of this, with the last two digits of the part number indicating the differences. I have the SB3621N-E8.
Anyway, highly recommended, especially it it's on sale for $100!!
This soundbar blew my mind! For the price and size it packs a big punch! I have it set up in the basement with 70 inch tv. It has all the rumble I need. The surround sound is impressive, gives you the feel of virtual sounds and effects without having extra satellite speakers. And don't be fooled with the small subwoofer. This thing gives out enough bass without the rattle. Unless you have a theatre-like size room, really this is all you need! I have Vizio TVs and I'm really impressed with the quality of their products. Highly recommend this soundbar.
Clear voice, decent bass. Mounts very clean. Plan to use optical sound input for the cleanest sound.
Subwoofer is Compact but Sound is Full-sized
This Vizio soundbar has a compact subwoofer that sounds fantastic. I wasn't sure what to expect although the reviews were very good. I shouldn't have hesitated; great price, great sound, compact package (the subwoofer is compact).
I based this purchase on the extremely positive reviews on CNET and they were wright. The only negative is that you need some light to see the buttons on the remote. Setup was very easy and straightforward. It has a very rich sound and the sub produces a clean, window rattling bass which is great for those action flicks.
VIZIO 36" 2.1 Soundbar
I brought this black Friday for a great deal and we like it. It has great sound.
I have it in a garage that's 40x40 and it has plenty sound. In fact we keep it turned down even in that big space. The base is good and the sound is clear.
It was very simple to set up also and that helps a lot. I would buy it again and I think in a room of a house it would be much GREAT too!
This soundbar compliments my E40-C2 Vizio tv in my bedroom nicely. A better improvement in sound and fidelity compared to the built in speakers of the TV. So far the sound is quite nice and the wireless sub adds very good bottom end to movies and tv shows. The TruVolume feature handles the dynamic range of audio media rather well though I am not a true proponent of the TruSurround mode. It sounded rather obvious and fake for my taste thankfully you can turn all these features on and off. Over all is it a great sounding speaker system for a small room like a bedroom or kids room. Super easy to mount and if you go the extra mile and hide the cables behind the tv and in the walls your set up can look really clean and professional. I highly recommend it.
Had a problem with my downstairs neighbors blasting their TV playing games or watching movies, so I had to get this to drown them out. Only had one problem with this system about 2 months after using it where the sound fuzzed out, but I just reset it and it was fine.
Good sound for the money
I am happy with my purchase of the Vizio sound bar. It was very easy to set up and start to enjoy. The wireless subwoofer connected to the sound bar without any problems. The sound quality is excellent, for the price. The subwoofer adds somewhat of a surround sound effect. which adds depth to many programs and when listening to music. It has a tendency to "boom" at times, especially during some commercials. The DTS TruVolume control, which is supposed to provide a consistent volume level, does absolutely nothing. Even with the TruVolume turned on, many commercials are annoyingly loud. Overall, I am feel the sound bar is a good bargain and provides a quality sound experience.
