Transform your Wi-Fi with the AmpliFi AFi-HD High-Density Router with 2 Rotating MeshPoints. This aesthetically pleasing router can be the centerpiece of an end table as it features a white plastic housing complete with a 1.6" display depicting various aspects of the network. Included with this router are two extender antennas designed to assist in extending your wireless network to areas of your home or office that may be out of reach of the router. Each antenna features dedicated signal LEDs to show signal strength along with a magnetic connector from which the top portion of the antenna can be adjusted for optimal signal reception. The included AmpliFi router comes compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi network standards and operates on the 2.4 GHz band supporting data speeds of up to 450 Mb/s and the 5 GHz band supporting data speeds up to 1300 Mb/s. Additionally, users benefit from up to 26 dBm transmit power along with a dual-band tri-polarity antenna providing a strong, reliable signal. Along with enhanced wireless connectivity, users can connect Ethernet-enabled devices to any of the four Gigabit Ethernet ports located on the back of the router.

A great product to improve WiFi reception

This is a great product and is the closet you can get to an enterprise WiFi system in your home without wiring hardware throughout the house. I was skeptical of this system before I purchased it, but it does an excellent job for the money. I needed to keep the router provided by Verizon to support the FiOS TV boxes and I was not getting good reception throughout the house, especially as I added more wireless devices to the network. I connected this product using an ethernet cable to the Verizon router and set the Ubiquiti router to bridge mode. The square router was placed on the first floor, one antenna was plugged into a receptacle on the second floor and the other antenna was plugged into a receptacle in the finished basement. I now have excellent reception and fast speeds on every floor of the house and outside the house, as well. I have no latency issues as this system easily outperforms the FiOS Quantum Gateway router that needs to remain hooked up to support the MOCA cable TV boxes. The system was easy to setup and has a phone app that allows you to monitor and configure the router, even if you are not at the house. The router has a simple look with a touchscreen to toggle through various screens. The antennas can rotate to add versatility depending on the receptacle location. This product will automatically use the strongest signal as you move throughout the house while using one SSID. I recommend this product if you are having WiFi reception issues and do not want a hardwired solution or to manually connect to other routers and range extenders you may have placed around the house to improve reception.
