I purchase this blanket with intention on its originality and authenticism. As it turns out, and I quote, " the real deal McCoy" is entirely and completely false! Let me explain. The original wool blankets that were made by the US Military is sewn onto the blanket in one of the corners and has the NSN number but the blanket that I received and I double check to make sure that it was not from a different description order item number, was completely false. The blanket that I received was made by Rothco which in this case, does not make wool blankets that are contracted through the US Military. Although, Rothco makes some really good items that are replicated but it is not original. And I purchase this item on the intention that this was going to be an authentic will blanket made by the US Military and it is not. I would recommend this blanket to anyone but they need to change its description. Very good, well made blanket but Very misleading!

Good blanket for emergency use..
This is a good blanket to have for emergency use..It is identical to the same blanket that was used when I joined the army in 1961 which had the US stamped on it not sewed..This was still the same style blanket that was used when I retired in 1989..I have one but living in Southern Cal in the Palm Springs area we only use it for camping because it is too warm to use in my area's climate..
32 year active Army veteran. Went to basic training in 1983. Was a Drill Sergeant from 1996-1998. This is the same blanket I used. Maybe pre 1983 the US was sewn but it was not on those used in my 32 years. Good wool blanket warm and gets the job done in cold damp climates.I have several around the house for emergencies.
Just what i wanted, actual from picture, Excellent product!!
While it's not genuine army surplus, it's a good wool blanket.
It's really nice
I got mine from I.C.E. They are Fantastic ! ! ! I worked for California state park & 1 year we had a multi-agency operation it was like alphabet soup something like 8 state and federal agencies. I.C.E. supplied these very same blankets for the rescue of saviors. The U.S. is stenciled on just as seen in picture. As for the reviewer questioning the authenticity of blanket. They haven't stitched that tag on since I was in the Navy in the 70's. Bought 1for my Granddaughter for camping, besides her Great-Grandpa served in the U.S. Horse Calvary now she has the same blanket He had.
This blanket is different than described online. The blanket lacks authenticity due to the lettering on one side. I was led to believe that it would have "U.S." on it, but when I got it, it said S.N. opening the package was disappointing after tyebhorrible breakfast I had. I asked the waitress for eggs and bacon...she sent me bacon and eggs. What is the world coming to with customer service and the lack of attention to detail.
Absolute garbage, it is not wool but some kind of recycled plastic fibers, very bad odor and i can almost poke a finger through the material
Hole in my new blanket
I havnt had it a week and has a hole in it , dont know how , i wouldnt have got it ,if i knew it was so Poorly made!
It smelled like mildew so badly that I took it back within hours of receiving it. Very disappointing and I won't buy anything from them again.
