Turtle Wax T240KT Headlight Lens Restorer Kit:

  • Removes oxidation and yellowing of headlights
  • Can be used on all lenses, plastic and plexiglass surfaces
  • Protects from future discoloration
  • Dries and cures within 24 hours
  • No machines required for results
  • Turtle Wax lens restorer kit comes with three staged wet sanding pads, spray lubricant, sealing wipe system and lens-clarifying compound

Directions:

Instructions: 1. Wash headlight lens to remove surface dirt. 2. If lens to be restored is next to painted surfaces, use masking tape to protect the paint. 3. Apply lens clarifying compound to a cotton cloth. Rub compound over entire lens using firm pressure. Buff with clean terry cloth. Restore only one lens at a time. If lens does not come clean with lens clarifying compound, proceed to step 4. 4. Apply spray lube to level 1 pad (green pad) and to lens to be restored. Use pads on only those areas requiring restoration. Begin rubbing the level 1 pad, using firm finger pressure, in a back and forth motion over the lens, continuing until much of the oxidation is removed. Use the spray lube as necessary to keep the lens and pad wet. (The green level 1 pad will require the longest use.) 5. Immediately switch to the level 2 pad (brown). Rub back and forth in the opposite direction (90 degrees) of the level 1 pad for about 1 minute, keeping the pad and lens surface wet using the spray lubricant. Switch to the level 3 side of the final pad (purple) and repeat the process for 1 minute. Flip to the level 4 side of the final pad (blue) and repeat the process for 1 minute. 6. Dry the lens with a cotton towel. Apply lens clarifying compound and rub thoroughly back and forth until the lent clarifies. Let compound dry to a haze and buff with a cotton cloth. Lens clarifying compound can be applied by machine with a foam pad at 1500 RPMs. 7. Open the pouch containing the lens sealing wipe. Using plastic glove, coat the newly restored lenses with the wipe. This will help prevent future yellowing and dulling. Coating will dry and cure within 24 hours.

more than impressed with the results
my headlights where very cloudy and being xenon project headlights, also very expensive. i spent just over an hour with Turtlewax headlight lens restorer kit and am more than happy with the results. the instructions are very easy to read and follow and the job itself quite easy. i strongly recommend this product to anyone with cloudy headlights before they spend the money to replace them.

Worse after the product was used
I've used the as seen on TV wipe new one before and I thought I'd give this a try.....I should have stuck with what I knew worked best. Your sealant formula and steps made my head light worse! So disappointed!! Luckily the store I bought it from discounted the purchase of the wipe new one I had to redo it with. Pictures below..... the left one (my left as in the picture) was with your product. The right one (my right) was with as seen on TV

Wow! an unbelievable shine I got

When I bought this product I was a little skeptical as it was not the "so-called top of the line" headlight restorer with that high cost, so I wasn't really expecting the brilliant shine. I was very surprised, as it removed years of oxidation just like that, and gave the headlights brilliant shine. I now know my son is safer on the roads at night as he can now see the pedestrians, deers, and road ahead of him as he drives.

I would recommend this product in a flash to anyone with oxidation on their headlights. Make sure you follow the instructions as written, USE CLEAN CLOTH as required DON'T SKIMP and you will be very pleased with the results. My only regret was not taking a before photo to show how bad the oxidation build up.

This product is easy to use and gives great results. I'll be interested to see how well it lasts but, for an hours worth of work it has done a great job!

My 2010 Corolla

My 2010 Corolla's headlights were terrible. Saw someone else use this product and was impressed. So I gave it a shot. Well, I have been impressed again.

Impressive results:

Was a little dubious at first but after using the kit it was impressed, during the restore processes I was a little worried as the lenses became foggy. I stress to everyone to complete all steps to get good results. After following all the steps in order they look clear and almost like new.

1. no, there's more than enough to complete at least one car if not a number of cars
by humorme7
2. You need a kit for each lens because the box only includes one Sealing Wipe, the final step, per box.
by twizard113
3. No, you use it on both headlights
by claytonh71
4. Like one other reviewer noted, you'll have enough polish and lubricant for at least four cars (both lenses), but unfortunately, you only get one "sealer" wipe---something you'll need (or an acceptable equivalent) every time you use this product.
by JDawg1
5. No, theres more than enough supplies to use it on both headlights multiple times
by Mazdaman23
6. No one kit has enough product to do at least two cars however the Lens sealant comes in a tear open packet that must be used immediately after opening so you should do both cars before applying sealant. Applying Sealant is the final step
by BillyBobRetired
7. No, one kit will do more than one vehicle but I would not purchase this. I found that my headlight look no different after use.
by marjam17
8. No.The kit has enough in it to do the lenses several times.
by Critt58
9. this kit will do both lens 2 times.
by skababy69
10. this kit is good for for maybe up to 4 cars, sealer wipe not sure about, got some headlight sealer, so I can do more than 1 car have done two cars already, and bottle is 3/4 full still
by humpthedog4u2
11. No, you can easily do two cars!
by tweakster
12. There is plenty of this product to do both headlights. I think you could probably do 2-3 vehicles with 1 kit.

1. Yes, but I would recommend the Sylvania Headlight Restoration Kit over this kit. See my review of this kit for more details as to why...
by gempler
2. Yes, the idea is the same. As the plastic sealer wears off, leaving the plastic exposed to the sun and other elements, the plastic oxidizes resulting in haze. This product essentially micropolishes away oxidation, restoring the plastic beneath. A sealer packet included seals the plastic, protecting it from the elements that damaged it in the first place.
by Lovenow
3. YES , it made mine a lot brighter
by humpthedog4u2
4. should, if you lens isnt hazy from scratches it should work, it does come with sanding pads to help get rid of the scratches.
by SubaruJawn
5. I don't see why not - it basically removes the outer layer from the plastic lens

3. Yes, this product will work on tinted headlights.
by CommunityAnswer
4. I think you mean tinted, and, if the tint is on the outside of the lamp, NO. This will destroy the tint if is on the outside of the lamp. If the tint is on the inside, or, the lamps are using a smoked plastic, then this will work perfectly fine on them too.....
