    I love it!

This is the best deal I could find on one this size. Truly does compare to the high-dollar ones, works just as well. I saw where some reviewers don't like the plastic knob, but it says it's good for u to 300 degrees, so I don't have a problem with it. The beautiful red color even makes the food look prettier.

    Beautiful and functional

My fancy French one disappeared during my move and I orded this last week. I received the triple boxed beautiful green monster yesterday and immediately went into chicken and dumpling mode. I love it and it's weight, the way it browns, stews, and looks beautiful doing it. I was lucky and got mine on sale for $39.00. Woo hoo!

    Enameled Cast Iron 6.5 cookware

Fantastic! Use and care: hand wash FYI ~ Although does not require seasoning because it has gorgeous enamel, season rim and cover rim with cooking oil where cast iron is exposed (recommended). Use silicone, wood, bamboo or nylon utensils for cooking- metal ones are too sharp will possibly damage cooking surface- and void warranty. Enamel surfaces are not suitable for dry cooking! Add liquid, butter or oil to bottom prior to cooking! ON ceramic or glass top stoves a gradual low to medium heat setting is best! Including frying and searing high heat is not best! And always lift to move not slide! Let COOL before you clean so no sudden temp change! You do not want to damage enamel - Clean with nylon or soft abrasive pads or brushes! Easy to clean! Hot soapy water - Oven use No microwave use No freezer use

Out performs the most expensive dutch Ovens. I've been using the product for 2 years and also own the 2 of the expensive brands that cost more than $100.00 each. When I wanted to buy another I choose the best performing one, Tramontina.

    Red Color Not As Pictured

The Dutch Oven I received was, in general, in acceptable condition..The overall finish on it is not all that great...and there is a small chip in the finish on the lid ....but as far I can tell...the lid fits well..and based on some of the reviews I have read...I"m lucky!!!! Unfortunately, the '"red' color of the one I received is not a 'true' red...it is an orangery, and imo, not attractive shade of red that does not match, or/or blend well with any of the current shades of red of small appliances, linens, etc......so if a true 'red' color is, for whatever reason, important to you....then I would suggest that that you pass on this item unless, or until, you can see it in person at a local Walmart store.. Based on the "sloped' design of this dutch oven, it has less space at the base of it..which limits the size of roasts, etc, that you can fit into it...and have them cook them properly.... I'm glad that Walmart has a 90 day, satisfaction guaranteed, return policy since I'm really on the fence regarding whether or not to keep this product...

Excellent pan but Sam's has better for same price.

I have owned this pan for over 4 years now and it is excellent with one exception: the lid handle. I replaced it with a metal handle I bought at Lowes to make it more oven safe. The stock handle is plastic and reduces the oven safe temperature by at least 50 degrees. Otherwise, this pan has been excellent. When i have a stubborn stain from cooking, I spray Clorox Cleanup and the stain is gone within an hour. Sam's carries a similar Tramontina 6.5 Qt. Dutch Oven which has a metal lid handle and larger side handles, for the same price. I paid $39.95 for this at Walmart, and the better model at Sam's (which I purchased for my son) cost $39. Both are excellent pans but the Sam's carried model is better for less money.

    Great product for the price

This is an excellent product for the price. I overcooked(burnt) some veggies and was expecting a hard time to clean it up. But I was wrong! Cleaning it was a breeze. Highly recommended

This is a great pot & for the price a great find

I loved trying out this pot on a recipe that I needed to brown meat first to create a nice fond for making a gravy to add to a soup... I made the soup right in the same pot...cooked it on low. It surprised me how efficient it was with just the low flame on my stove. It cleaned up very easily and looks nice on top of my stove on the back burner where I keep it because I like looking at it. I would have liked an 8 qt. pot and with a stainless steel knob but I shopped until I found a large enough pot and this knob will take up to 400 degrees in the oven... so that is good enough since I got a good price. That is the only way I can shop and have things I need, that is, to look around for the best value... I must have looked for a month before I made this informed purchase. There are fancier gourmet versions of enameled Dutch ovens which I am sure are wonderful but I wanted to also have $ left to buy something to cook in the pot!

    I love it!

I've looked at these for years trying to justify spending $200 for a dutch oven and just would not do it. I saw this one priced so low and thought it was worth a try. I live it. I'ts heavy, good quality as fas as I can see. I cooked in it this weekend for the first time and it actually seemed to reduce the necessary cook time. It apparently holds the heat really well and cooked a pot of raw vegetables in about half the time. This was on the stove top so I can't wait to use it on a roast in the oven. I only gave it a "good" rating on durable because even though it's appears to be very well made I've only used it once and don't have the long term experience with it. I'd say most definitely worth the price though.

    Great Value !

Exceptional value for the money. Perfectly ground edges where the lid meets the pot. Little rubber wedges to keep them separated during storage. Only thing is the color isn't perfect. They attempted to fade from light to dark and must have smoked something just before. LOL....but the sucker heats very well and hold heat....nice purchase....pretty indestructable.
