This wrench will undo any lug nut put on a passenger car by a tire store. I am over 60 years old and I just bought this wrench and tried it out on our van and pickup and was able to loosen torqued down lugs with no problem. If you are tired of getting hernias trying to loosen the lugs that were torqued down by the tire store, using the old tire irons, you need this product. It exceeded my expectations and will exceed yours. A bold statement but true.

The extension on the Torin wrench is sufficiently long for leverage, the sockets are reasonably tight fit and the rubber handle feels ok. Have some concern on the quality of the outer wrench (Seem thin and material feels not as strong) and the rust resistance when keeping it in the trunk. Overall, it is good and recommend it at the sales price. Time and usages will reveal the actual quality. Meanwhile, I continue to keep the 12" galvanized pipe and the car's original lug wrench in the trunk.

I was having trouble with over tightened lug nuts on some snow tires and I decided to give this wrench a try. I am very glad I did. It was so much easier to loosen up those lugs. Mechanics seem to put them on too tight every time. This made it a breeze. I had actually stripped a lug head using the wrench that came with the vehicle. That won't be a problem next time.

    • A. Actually not though looks like will. When breaking, the extention sleeve is fixed well without any spin. When not in use, it can spin, but it does not matter, right?

    • A. You can use it both ways. When extended it increases mechanical advantage reducing the amount of force you need to apply.

    • A. The extended position doesn't lock. The handle continues to spin, but it does not prevent you from using the tool safely. As soon as you apply some torque, the friction between the inner shaft and outer sleeve prevents the handle from moving.

    • A. It doesn't matter. It's just extended handle will give you more leverage. ( * it's a solid piece, no ratcheting action whatsoever )

    • A. Yes, the extension (with the rubber handle) does spin, both when closed and extended. It makes no difference on the amount of torque you can apply. I've used this lug wrench both on lug nuts and as a generic breaker bar with ordinary 1/2" drive sockets. It's a great tool. I keep one in every car I own.

The desription indicates it includes 4 sockets: 17mm,19mm,21mm,23mm. When I looked in the store I only saw 2 sockets?

    • A. I was confused too! The 17mm and 19mm are on one socket and the 21mm and 23mm are on the other. All you have to do is to rotate the socket 180 degrees. The square connection is in the center of the two sizes. It works fine, but felt a little looser than what you might be used to with a quality complete socket set.
