Adorable %26 Comfy Shorts for young %26 old

Bought these for my 21 year old daughter whom was heading on a Disney trip. She's got extra weight on her specifically in her bum, stomach, %26thighs. She's in-between a size 14-16 In women's %26 is the MOST DIFFICULT to fit in bottoms especially that are not pull on or a stretch elastic waist %26 even then I still end up having to adjust the waist so her bottoms don't end up falling down on her. She usually will till a show lace through a few back belt loops and tie it in a tight tie so it ends up tightening the back waistline. These shorts even with her being thicker in her bum %26 thighs these still fit lose in the legs on her. The top portion of the shirt through the bum %26 stomach area they fit adorable not skin tight but fit nicely ! I did unfold /unstitch one time with the shorts hem %26 then sewed the the one fold left back where they had been originally stitched in a few areas around each hem because completely unfolding the hem would have been too long %26 keeping them at the original hem length her thighs rubbed too much together %26 would make the leg ride up %26 she's around 5'6 in height. I purchased her the size 16 in the normal light jean wash short s. She wore them a bunch of times on her trip %26 since but was heading again on a trip down south %26 asked me to adjust the waist because they had begun to slip down her waist. I was worried about getting the size 16 for her just because I know the trouble with fit on her frame but in the end I decided to go with the 16 because I figured bigger is better easier to adjust the waist if it's bigger than if I had gone with the 14 and they would have fit too small and still would have ridden down because of not enough room for her lower half. Now I'm coming back to purchase another pair in same color but size 14 for myself because I know they will fit me perfectly! And I will probably end up keeping the length in the shorts the original hem length since my frame my weight is only in my stomach and my legs are not as thick as they probably should be. The waist is elastic but you still open the snap %26 have a zipper. The denim is not as stretchy as say a jegging fabric it's like a regular cotton denim with some stretch. I like that the leg will fit loser but the rest of the fit will lay closer to my body. I hope this helps I read abot of the reviews before I originally purchased my daughter's pair because I wanted to get the best fit since she was leaving 2 days after I received them. They are a nice quality short quality that you would expect from Amer. Eagle in fact I returned a pair from Aerie because the quality was no where close to these Walmart shorts !

Cute shorts. They run big. I'm a size 6 bought a 6 could have gotten a 4. If you have bigger legs then look better on. I have super skinny legs so I would like them a li Tighter on the thigh. But super comfortable and with an oversized shirt. Amazing
