What a perfect romance to combat the winter blahs. Annabelle DiSalvo lives on the Mediterranean island of Mirraccino, where romance with a little touch of mystery is headed her way. Part of the royal family, she misses some of her privacy while trying to understand the need for constant vigilance. Millionaire Grayson Landers, someone she is hoping will invest in her South Shore business project on the island, is introduced quickly, via a pickpocket scheme. I really liked the mystery surrounding Annabelle's mother's death and the clues that are revealed around the island enhanced the romantic storyline. Faye creates a lot of depth for her characters in a short span of time, it's one of her strong suits and why I enjoy her stories so much. A beautiful Mediterranean setting helps too, and the promise of visiting these people again is something to hope for after a good, happily ever after.
