I love student/teacher romances and this one did not disappoint. It is a story about a High School senior falling for her math teacher. They have to keep their feelings a secret so both go back and forth between flirting and pushing one another away. Kaley falls hard and fast. Her outlook on life changes completely. She puts her friends on the backburner and slowly pushes her boyfriend farther away. Professor McHotty consumes her thoughts and she tries to block them out only to fall deeper into the web of love. Eventually the two can't stay away from each anymore. They meet up in secret and try to keep their relationship on the down low. At school they act as if nothing is going on between them. Not everyone believes that though. There is tons of mystery, suspense, and parts that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I really enjoyed the plot and my only complaint would be that certain details weren't always believable. I thought some minor tweaks in the storyline could have portrayed reality instead of fantasy. It was still a fantastic forbidden love story though! If you are one of those people who hate huge age gaps... You will appreciate this one. Kaley is 18 and Mr. Slate is in his twenties. Nothing feels wrong about the relationship they share. There is a personal connection along with the intense sexual one.I highly recommend it to all readers who like a mouth watering book boyfriend!
About This Item
"The writing is absolutely beautiful. The way Stevenson always knows the right way to describe the twists and turns shows that she's the real deal. She's very eloquent in every aspect of her storytelling." -Southern Belle Book Blog
"The writing in this story is rather consuming. It's not often enough that a book grabs you from the very first page and doesn't let up. This story reads like it flowed effortlessly from this author. That doesn't happen often in this writing climate and when I find it, I feel like I discovered a gem." -Angie & Jessica's Dreamy Reads
"This is no cliché student/teacher romance. It's not light and fluffy. It's real. It's genuine. It truly depicts the life of a teenager who deals with real life issues with friends, her family, and of course love. Force of Gravity grabs you from the very first page. You will not want to put this one down." -Biblio Belles Book Blog
"[Stevenson] has done a wonderful job of taking a taboo subject...and turning it into something extraordinary and beautiful. [Stevenson] was able to grip my heart and my soul with her words, make me feel for these characters, paint a picture for me, make me laugh and cry in the same chapter, and fill my heart with joy." -Who Picked This? Book Blog
"I am a sucker for student/teacher books and while some of them fall flat, Force of Gravity did not. The writing is so fantastic that you feel each and every emotion first hand....I wanted to call in sick and just hide under the covers and read....The feelings and emotions jumped off the page from the very beginning and kept hold of me until the very last word of the epilogue." -One Chick Bliss
"This may be my favorite student/teacher romance....This book totally took me by surprise....It had a realness that I think is missing in many [New Adult] romance novels. This is a fantastic debut from Kelly Stevenson and I cannot wait for the sequel." -Love Between the Sheets
