OUR SON WAS BORN 2 MONTHS EARLY AND WHEN HE FINALLY CAME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL WE HAD TO WARM HIS BREASTMILK IN A HURRY.USING WARM TAP WATER IN A GLASS WAS SLOW AND GOT OLD QUICK. SO WE BOUGHT THIS BOTTLE WARMER AND IT HAS BEEN A LIFE SAVER.IT HAS GOTTEN SLOWER AT HEATING THAN WHEN WE FIRST PURCHASED IT 4 1/2 MONTHS AGO, BUT STILL ONLY TAKES ABOUT 3 MINUTES TO HEAT OUR BOTTLES.WE HAD PROBLEMS WITH BREASTFEEDING SO I EXCLUSIVELY PUMP BREASTMILK AND BOTTLEFEED IT TO HIM SO THIS WARMER IS USED A LOT EVERY DAY.I RECOMMEND IT FOR SURE.WE CLEAN OURS OUT WITH WATER AND VINEGAR...SO EASY!!

It arrived very fast, I tried it quickly and I have no complaints, it works perfectly. It is small and very practical that makes it best to store since it does not take much space. I recommend it to everyone, also the price is fabulous.

This bottle warmer works fine on room temperature Milk and poorly on refrigerated food and milk . Another thing I don't like about this product is that it takes forever to use again if your milk isn't warm enough on the first try. This is a pain if you have a crying baby ready to eat.

Does the job

I use Dr. Brown bottles and make up an entire days worth of formula in the morning. I used to take the bottle from the fridge and warm it in hot water. That took forever! So I finally bought this warmer (which I never thought I would need). It does warm the bottle very quickly, but like others have said it takes a while to get used to how much water to use...and it takes a few tries to get the correct amount of water in the little vial (lots of pouring it out and looking, adding a few drops more, etc.) but overall it does the job. The only real drawback to this warmer is that if you are like me and take the bottle straight from the fridge to the warmer you have to use WAY more water than the directions say just to bring the bottle to room temp. I'm only warming about 4oz of formula now, but I'm not sure this warmer would even take the chill off a 8oz bottle without running it through a 2nd cycle..and you have to wait 10min to do that which isn't really a time saver. But for now, it is money well spent.

  • A. We only use this on bottles however from reading the instruction manual it says you can warm jars too. It comes with the special basket to sanitize pacifiers which I imagine baby food jars would fit in perfectly.

  • A. I bought this product for a friend, so I have not tried it myself. The box claims that the warmer can warm jars & also sanitize pacifiers. It comes with a little basket for jars & an enclosed basket for pacifiers. Hope this answers your question.

I was given a used one. It didn't come with a measuring cup. I'm using plastic dr browns bottles. What is the amount of water for a 4oz bottle, 6oz bottle and an 8oz bottle?
by Becky 11/14/2013

  • A. I fill it up to the 3-3.5 min mark for a 4 oz plastic bottle (Gerber first Essentials). Just add .5 min per 2 oz.

  • A. I had to experiment with mine. I use the plastic Playtex angled bottles, I read the directions, but it wasn't warm enough. Try using a tablespoon of water, the little measuring thing it uses, is not big at all. You'll have to experiment with it. SOrry I couldn't be of more help.

  • A. The instructions that came with the warmer recommend for water: Cool bottle from fridge- standard bottle 4 oz. fill to 7, 8 oz fill to 8. Warm bottle/ room temp.- standard bottle same as cool bottle. Baby food jars- all sizes fill to 9. Cool bottle- wide-mouth bottles- 5 oz fill to 6 and 9 oz fill to 10. Cool bottle- disposable bottles- 4 oz. fill to 2 and 8 oz. fill to 4. Warm bottle- wide- mouth- 5 oz fill to 5 and 9 oz. fill to 9. Warm bottle- disposable- 4 oz fill to 1 and 8 oz fill to 3. There is also a note that says if the bottle is too cool after heating to add a little more water next time and if it's a little too hot after heating try less water next time. There are different suggestions for breast milk heating. Website:www.thefirstyears.com or call them at 1-800-704-8697 Hope this helps!

  • A. Water measurement varies on temp of water before its used so: this is the chart for non breast milk water.... Cool bottle from fridge or cooler- for wide mouth bottles 5oz=6, 9oz=10 Warm or room temp wide mouth bottles-5oz=5, 9oz=10 Standard cool bottle- 4oz=7, 8oz=8 Standard warm bottle-5oz=7, 8oz=8 Disposable cool bottle- 4oz=2, 8oz=4 Disposable warm bottle- 5oz=5, 9oz=9 Stay by warmer and watch as it heats because the bottle has to be removed as soon as its done to avoid further heating. To warm baby food jar no matter the size use water level 9....make sure you use the smaller basket... *If water is to cool after heating add a little more water. If bottle is to hot after heating use a little less water. Don't use glass bottles. Wait 10 minutes after heating to heat next bottle.

I bought the Avent bottle warmer. I don't like how you have to hold the on button down for 3 seconds. You also have to do it again once you have programmed it. It is hard to use one hand to work it and the other hand to sooth a crying baby.

  • A. No. All you have to do is push the button and it starts warming. The only disadvantage is that if the bottle doesn't warm properly the first time you have to wait ten minutes before you can use it again. The first couple times you have to play with the amount of water you put in.

  • A. No just push it down once and it will go off once water is all steamed off and bottle is warm. This is what you need. It doesnt take up much space and keep the measured vile filled so every time you need to warm a bottle just pour in water and hit button and go tend to baby and when you come back it's warm and ready to drink.
