watch the original and read book instead,

disappointing and good at the same time. disappointing if you've read the book and seen the original movie as this definitely doesn't have the same flavor. older books and movies are geared towards adults and children, seems some movies nowadays are geared more towards children and if an adult likes it so be it.... this film is trying to be like Marley and me. the opening scene gave me a bad flavor as it was over the top trying to be old timey, I understand the trying to show the hustle and bustle of a small town at the turn of the century but it was just too over the top and childish. I suggest getting the original movie and book.
