McCormick Sicilian Chicken Skillet Sauce with Garlic, Basil and Tomato is a culinary treat. I really like the easy pour spout on the package. It's very easy to open and pour. I used about a pound of chicken drumettes, about two cups of mushrooms, a whole onion and a large jalapeno pepper. I cut the mushrooms in quiet large pieces and the jalapeno and the onion into strips. I cooked the chicken drumettes first because they take the longest then I added the peppers and onions and then the mushrooms. I used a large, heavy fry pan with a cover because it spatters. After cooking everything for about 20 minutes, I added the sauce. The Sicilian Chicken Skillet Sauce cooks very fast. Almost immediately it started thickening. It covered the chicken and all the vegetables with a delicious marinara-like sauce with the basil adding its unique flavor. This dish could have used a little extra garlic because the sauce doesn’t have enough for a Sicilian type dish. I also found the tomato flavor to be a little too sour so the next time I use it, I’ll add a bit of cheese to tame the sauce. It’s a good sauce, I’ll probably use it again and yes, I’d recommend it to a friend.
