I'm pleased with how easy it is to use and store. It is pretty heavy though. Since it telescopes I strongly recommend keeping it perfectly clean as dirt and grit could stop the telescope movement.
The Telesteps 14-1/2-foot 300-pound telescoping extension ladder with wide step is easy to carry, easy to use, and easy to store. Made from lightweight, high-strength aluminum alloys, the ladder automatically telescopes up or down from just 32.4 inches to 14-1/2 feet in seconds. Adjusting in one-foot increments, it gives you many extension ladders in one small versatile package. Weighing only 30.5 pounds and meeting OSHA and ANSI standards, it can be taken, used, and stored anywhere that most ladders just won't fit. High quality non slip rubber bumpers and feet. Molded serrated climbing rungs for sure grip and stability.

The Telesteps ladder I purchased was considered discontinued by Walmart and was $157 less than the current 1800EP currently advertised on the website. The description on the website stated it was a 18 ft. ladder, and fix not provide an actual extended height. When it arrived at my house, it was wrapped in plastic, but not a box. The feet were filthy where they had stuck through the plastic. I cleaned the feet and set it up. The first thing I noticed is it was far shorter than 18 ft. My ceiling is 18 ft, and it didn't come close. The cardboard description also stated 18 ft. In addition to being 4 ft. shorter than expected, I noticed it is very light duty. It is supposed to be a Type 1A ladder, but I really don't think it is. I've had Type 1 and even Type 2 ladders that were sturdier than this ladder. I immediately returned it to the store. I appreciated the easy return, but do not appreciate the shoddy merchandise.
