I got this gate to keep my indoor only cat from eacaping from my front door. Its very stable, and sturdy. It stays put well. I do have mobility issues, and the gate is a little narrow for my situation (I dont walk well and I use forearm crutches when I do walk). I have issues with my hands as well and sometimes the spring latch is difficult to operate. My father is a big guy (just very tall and sturdy) and its a little narrow for him as well. But other than those little things, it's a solid product.

Highly Recommend this Free Standing Pet Gate

We bought 3 of these and are very pleased. They are very easy to combine to make a larger area, if desired. It's also very easy to change the panels around as needed to configure where the walk through gate is just by a few screws. We used 9 panels to create an area around the doggy door and the other 3 to gate off the stairs. The panels are able to stand alone but the extra feet give a lot of stability in the long areas. The walk through gate is very easy to open and close with one hand. It's not incredibly sturdy but it's well built and looks great for a pet fence. It keeps two medium dogs in place when we need them to be out of the way. Also it's exactly what we were looking for so very happy with the purchase.
