A very fun figure with multiple modes. I waited until there was a good sale on this figure as it didn't really hold any personal interest for me aside from being a titan class, which is always fun thanks to their size and complexity. He's one of the shorter Titan class bots, but not by much. His multitude of modes and moving turrets make up for it. Unlike most titans which have 2 to 3 modes, Tidal Wave has 4. Bot, fleet (3 separate vehicles), spaceship, and base. The vehicles in the fleet dont look very realistic, theyre definitely a more cartoonish aesthetic, which is one reason I didn't pick this guy up at release. Had they been more realistic looking it would have been an instant buy. That aside, this guy is fun. Being able to do multiple transformations with one figure, as well as being able to combine with Armada Megatron just means you get a lot of options and a lot of play value out of this guy. Unlike the Ark, which has a lot of fixed turrets decorating its exterior, its also nice that Tidal Wave's turrets actually move. This is a touch that was sorely missing before. To summarize, Tidal Wave has a lot of great potential and play value thanks to his multitude of modes and gimmicks. Definitely worth getting even if you're not attached to the character.

TIDAL WAVEEEEE. Huge, well-built, easier to transform than Cybertron Metroplex. The small Tidal Wave parts for Armada Megatron is a really clever way to deal with that problem. (Maybe Megatron should have been a Commander class in retrospect, but c'est la vie.) The base mode is questionable, and I miss the ability to connect bases together.

Transforms from a space battle ship, into a battle station, and then a giant robot. At nearly 2 feet tall, Tidalwave stands above all other Transformers and can divide his power and become battle armor for Armada universe Megatron or the sinister Galvatron! Tidalwave also serves as a space pirate ship for the: Star Raiders, a group of transforming space pirates sold exclusively through Wal-Mart. standing, posing, and sculpting of this figure are just what you need for dramtic action scenes.
