It serves my purpose - to connect chromecast and google home speaker at my hotel room. I need to set it up first time I check in to the hotel every time. However, after that, it is super convenient through out the rest of my stay. I have seen it has wifi extender option as well, but not used it.

Price was wright. Delivery was fast. Easy to set ip
I have several of these, and use them regularly (almost daily). This purchase was to replace one that died (after about six months of use). Sure, there's a warranty, but for the price, I just viewed it as disposable. None of the others have failed, so as of now, I'm seeing the failure as an unfortunate chance occurrence. My opinion will change if others fail similarly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Just as good as previous version
I have the older version of this but needed a second one for work. It was painless to set up and get working. I have it covering a small warehouse with WIFI from outside the building.
Bought this for hotel WiFi purposes. From what I have found, 3 of the 4 configurations require an Ethernet connection, which if you are in a hotel, you have to use WiFi most of the time so for me, really only 1 choice, WiFi range extender, is available. I set it up at home and seemingly works fine. The biggest issue with the setup is having to log into the router to set it up. Once I had it set up as a range extender, I couldn't find how to get back into the router to experiment with another setting other than resetting the device, which requires additional steps during login. Once you are in, set up is pretty straight forward as it walks you thru each step and has help/suggestions along the right hand side of the screen, which is good. A button on the device to choose the mode would make the set up simpler. Will be using it in a hotel in a few weeks and will write back in with results.
I bought this to speed up the internet at our hotel and it did nothing
