I bought this about 2 months ago for the bottom level of our 3 story home. The main router is on the middle floor, but a fairly good distance from the bottom floor computer. I basically split the distance between the two, placing at the bottom of the stairwell and viola, I went from 1 bar to the full 6 bars! It has maintained the same speed. We live in Lake Lure, NC and have SkyRunner (excellent service BTW) for our internet and are so happy that we now have full house capability, even out onto the back deck downstairs! Wonderful product!!!!

Easy to Use System
This item is small and easy to fit into any space. It powers up and syncs with the original modem easily. The extended range of service I have received has been adequate although not anything to write home about. It has enabled me to have several family members all connected at once to the same system without significant loss of signal.
hard to figure out
set this up with a friend who knows a lot about these things. my previous extender was the dlink 1520. reading the reviews I expected this thing to have twice the range or more. I set it in the same spot the dlink was and it says no reception (the orange light stays on) I move it very close to the router and it finally connects and shows all blue lights. it is sporadic at best. it drops out many times during the day and I have to connect to a neighbors router from another house (I have permission) and it works as well as the tp link. I have read about ghost signals and stuff like that, maybe that's whats going on, I don't know why it has to be so complicated. maybe I just got a bad one? I'm going to return it if this persists. I might just put the old dlink back in.
We couldn't get it to connect to our 5g network. We bought it for our cameras on the other side of the house and it wouldn't not connect. Returned it.
