We got these phones after coming out of an 8 year verizon contract. I guess we were spoiled with the service. Its all I can do to keep from throwing this phone against the wall anytime I try to make a call. Everytime I use this phone I can hear myself echo. It drives me crazy because its loud and usually comes at the same time the other person is trying to respond. It does not matter if I make an outgoing call or its an incoming call, either way I spend the entire conversation listening to myself talk. The battery on this goes really fast. I charge it daily (my LG would go 2 days on a charge, but it was not a smart phone). If I had to guess, Id say I charge it at least every 15 hours, if not less. Luckily I already had a car charger that fits the phone. Lastly, the reception is terrible. I feel like I spend my entire phone conversations saying "What?" "I can't hear you" and "are you eating the phone?" Conversations come out choppy, static-y, and very muffled. Don't buy this phone.

I bought this phone because my pre-teen(s) wanted an Android phone but I DIDN'T want the great big phone bill to go WITH it.It was an upgrade from a prepaid slider qwerty phone. It took a little getting used-to the touchscreen. But this phone has SO MANY free aps!!! It is an unbelievable value!I chose the $30 unlimited text, unlimited web and 100 minutes call time - perfect for my kids.(call when its time to check in, need a ride etc.)I also bought another T-mobile Android (for myself) from the T-mobile website and this $30 plan WAS ONLY available with phones purchased at Wal-Mart so I bought two for my children and we all LOVE these T-Mobile Android phones and plans! Their home screens looked the same as my friend's Droid 2 phone:) BUT I would say, these android phones are not AS FAST as the DROID X or the DROID 2 phones with a contract/plan.But for the price you pay for the phone and the monthly plans available-I definately reccommend for adult, teenager, young adult.(wouldnt reccommend for small children although my 4-year old manages to access my music, and "angry birds" by himself)

    Great PrePaid Phone!

For prepaid phone service this is a great phone so far. It has lots of features that my former contract android phone had so I'm pretty happy with it. The only thing I miss that I had on my old phone was it had a little green notification light for missed texts or calls. This one you have to turn on and look at it to see if you missed anything. But for the amount of money I'm going to save every month it's worth it. I went from $80/mo. contract plan to $30/mo. Wal-Mart prepaid and I'm happy with the service so far. The battery life is about the same as my former android phone. I only have to charge it every 2-3 days but I know that depends on your usage. Days I'm on the internet a lot I have to charge it after all day, but still the same as my former Android phone and no worse. I also went from a slider phone with a touch and also a keyboard to this one with no keyboard. I was worried about being able to text quickly but it hasn't been a problem at all. I'm also getting used to the swipe text and I love it..it's amazing how accurate it is most of the time! For a prepaid phone this has most of the bells and whistles the more expensive phones have.

Got this phone last month and love it. Have no problem with battery life, so I don't know what those reviews are all about. When I first opened my phone I charged it for 48 hours and have never had a problem with the battery. I use my phone every day and when I get home at night I usually put it on a charge except that i did forget a few times and it was still good to go the next day even with out the charge. This is my first smart phone and I am amazed with all that it can do like email, google and etc. I have a prepaid plan for phone minutes and Text only because I have wi-fi at home and work and Starbucks so I don't really have a need to use the 3G net work that the phone has available. I only pay for the minutes I use which comes to about 100 dollars a year because I use the phone for the internet a lot more and that is free for me. Maybe the people that have had a problem with the battery use and talk on their phones a lot more than I do. I am not one of those people that you see with a phone stuck on their ears all day long so maybe that is why they have a battery problem. This phone can also make wi-fi calls which is great and free at no charge. Bottom line is that this is a great smart phone for the price it will be hard to beat for me.

This sounds like a great phone on a great plan, but signing on is a problem and you can only go to Walmat for help. If you go to a T-Moile store, despite the fact their name is on the phone and on the plan, they will not help you and tell you get lost. They say since they make no money off the phones, it is none of the business. Signing up for a plan that is only available at Walmart is problematic - if the store does it, you may not get the plan and its not available to you if you do it your self, so the $30 prepaid plan available only at Walmart is a myth (100 minutes of talk time, unlimited text and unlimited web. It appear that i ended up with the 1500 minutes of talk time time and some text and web, which is not what i wanted and T-mobile refused to fix it. also their customer service is very lacking and the transfer you from department to department until you get lost. No one can do ANYTHING outside of their little area.

The zip code result indicated that the phone won't work for my 60411 zip even though I'm currently on a T-mobile plan using a RAZR phone in that zip code. What exactly makes this phone unworkable in my zip with T-mobile?

    • A. The zip code results indicated that it would not work in my area 27527 but I purchased it anyway & my daughter has been using the Samsung Dart for about a month now & it works fine. It picks up the internet. I got her the $50 monthly plan, but before I changed it over she had the $15 monthly unlimited txt & used the wifi to connect to the internet to get on you tube. We travel alot so I changed her plan. But the phone works great. I would recommend it.

    • A. I've seen this before on the WalMart site so decided to check my own zip code with a T-Mobile prepaid phone that I already own and purchased at WalMart as a prepaid phone. I know mine works, but I also got the same answer that it 'doesn't work in my zip code'. Honestly, that makes no sense to me as I have never heard of any cell phone being operational based on a zip code. And guess what? The phone that I had already purchased works just fine in 'my zip code', and in all the other zip codes I travel to! Since WalMart takes back about everything one purchases, just buy it and try it, or return it. The only logic I can see is if a person lives too far away from any cell towers for ANY cell phone to work. But cell phones for certain zip codes...huh? Never heard of that.
