Super smash Mario brothers

I bought this for my grandson for Christmas he loves it

My son LOVES it!

My son absolutely LOVES this game! It's hard to write a review for video games because everyone has their personal preferences, but speaking for my 12 year old son, he was so happy to get this game for Christmas. I ordered it online and had it at my house the next day.

A must-have for the Switch

Nintendo and Sakurai did great job of delivering everything they said they would on this game. The game has an Adventure mode as well as a Smash mode to play with friends. Whether you're playing with friends or going solo, this game is tons of fun and has lots of content and characters to unlock. The online matches have an occasional lag, but my guess is their servers are loaded with the huge influx of people playing after release day. Either way, the game has ongoing updates and so far it looks like it will be maintained consistently until 2020. If you have a Switch, given the game's replayability, Smash is a must-have.

Possibly the best Smash game ever.

This game is awesome! The game speed is faster than Smash 4 and it's more of an offensive based rather than defensive. The graphics and character renders look beautiful! Every single character in the Smash Bros series returns including the ones who were cut before Smash 4. So many modes and you can have a preset rule along with choosing a stage before you pick a character. This game feels so much of an improvement and it has been done so well! My personal gripes is the story mode shouldn't have such ridiculously hard battles (which become repetitive easily), challenger approaching fights being inconsistent with the characters either being too easy or too brutal and the online turning on default controls. Otherwise, this game is pretty awesome and definitely a must-have. It's also nice that the game offers so much for single player content rather than Smash 4's lack of content.

Keeping my son entertained

My 27 year old son has not stopped playing it so I guess it is good! My son is special needs so for something to keep him entertained this long is a great thing. It is challenging him and keeping his interest so am pleased with the purchase
Fantastically developed game. There is more than enough single player content to keep you going past 100 hours at least. The online isn't great due to Nintendo's online services holding it back, but it's playable. It lags less than Smash 4's online.

One of the best yet.

The singleplayer difficulty in World of Light is extremely cheap, but otherwise this is possibly the best Smash yet. It's enjoyable to the average player with fewer complaints from the competitive scene. You can adjust rules to play however you want. There are tons of characters, stages, and music tracks.

Great game held back by a subpar online experience

Great fun with friends over local multiplayer, and the CPUs have been improved, but the online mode isn't very good. You are often quickly put into games that don't have the ruleset that you want, and there is no option to wait longer for a game with a ruleset close to yours. You will sometimes get thrown into 2 stock 3 minute games with items fighting an opponent who has terrible internet. Also the online uses a P2P system (this makes it laggy) which is really dumb considering you pay for Nintendo Switch Online. Then again, the rest of the time you get put into matches with decently low lag and a good ruleset, and you have a good match, so I would still say its worth it to deal with the online.
Good game except they remixed Midna's Lament amd now it sounds terrible. This ruined the whole experience of beating my friends to death. If there were a non remixed version then this would be 5 stars.

The online system sucks.

The online sytem for ultimate is really stupid. If you get into elite smash, which is the hardest thing you can do in the game, you might get put into a giant map with items on and a spammy prejectile opponent. Then when you lose the match, your gsp goes down more than 1 million.
