What a fun and neat toy! No batteries needed, as you charge using the included cable by inserting it into a USB charging socket. A green light will indicate that it's fully charged. Raphael has two different timed flights of 6 seconds (press power button once) or 12 seconds (press power button twice). To enjoy, make sure you are in an open outdoor area with no trees, power lines, or wires nearby. Once you've pressed the power button, the motors will start and you gently let go into the air. My 4 year old had so much fun following it around! Simple, but fun toy!

When I was a kid, I loved playing with paper airplanes. Sometimes, I would decorate them with my favorite characters. I remember trying to figure out how to motorize them, but never could. So I was happy to find this advanced version of a motorized airplane with my own kids. It is a fun and rugged flying toy. It is made of styrofoam with an embedded, rechargeable motor. To recharge, you can use the included USB cable or one you are already using for your Android phone. In my experience, a full charge takes 30 minutes or less (red light means charging, a green light means fully charged). To fly, you will need to be outdoors (not for indoor use). First, you switch the power on (nothing happens yet). When you're ready for a flight, you press another button once for a short flight and twice for a long flight. The light will blink once (or twice) to confirm. After a two-second pause, the motor starts. So, you hold onto both sides and don't throw it so much as simply let it go. The propellers spin very fast and make a high-pitched whine (not too loud). There are two flaps to adjust the flight trajectory, although ours flies in a circle, in a 25-30 foot radius. If you can get yours to fly straight, a short 6-second flight will go as far as 50-75 feet, depending on the wind. It flies pretty fast (perhaps 5-10 miles per hour). Each charge is good for many flights -- we haven't actually run out of battery during play time. There isn't a way to control it, really, as there is no remote control. Yet, it tends to land "flat" and the propellers will stop immediately on pavement yet keep running on grass. No matter what, it hasn't even got one scratch on it, and despite it being fairly lightweight, seems pretty rugged, I think it is something that a wide range of ages would enjoy.
Great for kids and adults!
This Super G Wingsuit Raphael was a big hit straight out of the box! Of course our 3 year old wanted to fly it, but his dad was just as anxious to give it a try. The very first time we tried it out, it got stuck on our neighbor's roof and we had to do some climbing. But this glider is so much fun! As long as the kids are willing to run after it, they'll be happy for hours on end. This thing soars very high so you may want to have a ladder on hand too.
Super fun for kids
My daughter really enjoyed playing with Super G Wingsuit Raphael. It is a powerful toy that should be played with outdoors only. I couldn't believe the power of the propellers on this toy. I It is lightweight and the front propellers are extremely fast so don't let your child put their fingers anywhere near them. It is a little loud and sounds like a drone. At the park my daughter had fun watching it glide in the air and circular motions. I asked her how she liked it and she said it was super fun. The Super G Wingsuit Raphael comes with 1 USB charging cable and the light will turn green when fully charged. Should take 30 to 38 minutes to charge.
Great for outdoor play.
Super G Wingsuit Raphael is a modern version of the paper airplane. This toy is designed for eight years old and up with adult supervision. The package includes a wingsuit flyer and a USB charging cable which could be connected and charge to the computer. ( The wingsuit should always turn OFF before loading to a computer.) When charging LED light will glow color RED, and when fully charged the light will turn to color GREEN. It will take 30-40 minutes to charge the rechargeable battery. After playing the wingsuit for straight 30 minutes, the battery seems to be running low and the Red light turned which indicates it is needed to be a charge. Always remember to wait for 15 minutes to charge the battery if the wingsuit battery is still warm. This is an outdoor toy and should never try inside your home because of the flying range. There is two timed controlled flight mode: the quick stream which lasts for 6 seconds, all you have to do is press once the power button and the LED blinks in response, and after that, you have 2 seconds delay to prepare for flight. The second one is the Advanced glide, press the power button 2 times, and you will activate thing suit for 12 seconds of flying. Try adjusting the rudder angle or the green plastic attached on the lower part of the wingsuit to maintain its flying altitude. My only problem with the wingsuit is the ring base of the propeller got bent a little when it hit the ground. It also produces a medium loud noise when turning on. Aside from those cons, it is lightweight and the styrofoam looks durable.
Pretty cool for 8 and up
Over all this is a cool toy. You definitely need open space (not trees, roofs or other “hang ups”) I personallylly dont think 6 seconds and 12 seconds is much flying time but then that might be all the attention time this may get. I suggest seaking out the instructional video on the internet. It makes for easier understanding. All in it was fun. I can see a hawk flying away with this.
I received my Super G Wingsuit Raphael a week ago. My kid and I wanted to play with it but it was just too cold outside. the Super G Wingsuit Raphael is NOT an indoor toy. Today we were able to go out as it hit 38 degrees. The Super G Wingsuit Raphael charges with a conveniently supplied USB able so just plug it into your computer or a power brick. The Super G Wingsuit Raphael has two flight modes, one is 6 second and the other is 12 seconds. Once you turn the power switch on you push the flight mode button once for 6 second flight or twice for the 12 second flight. You only get 2 seconds before it takes flight so be ready. What we learned is to hold the Super G Wingsuit Raphael by the feet end facing straight up for take off. The Super G Wingsuit Raphael does fly in a circular flight so make sure you are in an open area. One of the things I like about the Super G Wingsuit Raphael is that when it hits the ground, or in our case the snow the blades shut down right away. The one thing I feel is off is the price, maybe $5 cheaper. But that said this is a fun toy for a kid and his dad to do outside so I do recommend it.
Fun, Exciting, Loud
So this is something pretty cool. Plug in the included usb cord to charge the wingsuit (probably an hour to fully charge) turn it on, press the button, and let it fly! There's a short lag between when you push the button and when the propellers get activated, but that does give you time to get ready to launch the wingsuit toy. I do like that when the propellers go, it goes really fast! The kids love how quickly if glides across the room, and when it crashes into things, it's still sturdy enough to stay in one piece. We haven't tried it outdoors yet, but having more space will definitely allow it to potentially make some rotations etc. Be careful though, the toy can get really loud when it turns on, so don't let it scare you when it happens. Overall, a fun toy and a great flashback to my childhood Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle days. :-)
Would not charge
I received this product as part of the Spark Reviewer program. We have regular monthly “grandkid” weekends and I am always looking for some fun ways to entertain them while they are here. When I saw this product I was excited because my 7 year old grandson really likes the Teenage Mutant Turtles and this was a turtle so I thought he would like it. We always have toys, games and movies in the kid's rooms so they have plenty of entertainment while they are here. When we received this, I took it out of the box to charge it per the instructions but nothing happened. In the mean time a week went by and we tried again. It would not charge when connected to the computer as the instructions indicated. We tried connecting it to another type of charger and left it for 24 hours, again, following instructions. It would not charge. I'm not very tech saavy so I had my son look at it. He basically did the same thing I did and the results did not change. Maybe this one is defective. That is the only thing I can think of. I would have loved to watch my grandson play with this and review it for other parents and grandparents but we didn't have that opportunity. In photo 2, the light should come on after it has been charged but it never did. It sounds like a really fun toy if it works.
Flimsey and not made well
I was very disappointed with the Super G Wingsuit Raphael toy. I thought that it would be hours of fun but it only flies for 6 seconds or 12 seconds and there is no remote or any way to control it. The child just stands there and releases his fingers and it flies up and then down. Not very entertaining for them. It took me nearly a half hour to get it out of the box, too. The instructions on the box say to be careful not to damage it when you remove it but there were absolutely no instructions on how to get it loose to remove it! I couldn't figure out why it was so firmly taped and stuck to the cardboard that would not come out of the outer box until I finally got it loose and saw that it is just made out of paper and has plastic propellers so more money was spent on protecting it then on making it. A very big disappointment. I wouldn't recommend giving this toy to any child because I'm sure they would be tired of playing with it within a few minutes.
