Originally I had purchased a Lasko My Heat portable heater for my desk, but needed more heat, throughout the hole room. I'm happy I purchased this unit first. I was able to heat my whole room in about 20 minutes which was standard. Later on in the day I can adjust the thermo to turn on and off according to the room temps. The fan is slightly loud, but if you use it at night I suggest leaving it constantly on so you don't get distracted with on and off noises. Had my mind set on the Lasko ceramic tower heaters but they were more What a super bargain! Picked it up at Walmart in store, and self checked out in less then a minute.

I bought this to use as a heat source for a part time job in a uninsulated vented roof shack 4'x8'x8'. Just wanted to take the chill of in the early a.m. until the sun came up to warm it. Did a wonderful job at @ 40* outside temperature. Very surprised and impressed. Kinda figured I would have to sit right on top of it but I didn't.

I use this to heat my room when it gets chilly because its down in the basement. It works very well for a small heater and will heat a good sized room in about 10 to 15 minutes.

Living in north Georgia in an RV while house hunting I wanted to save on costly propane gas to heat the RV. I found this little gem and it works better than expected! It has two settings, low-1000 watts and high-1500 watts. It also has a thermostat. For the $25.00 price tag this heater is worth every penny and more!

I returned the $70 Lasko 5805 model which was disappointing for the price and bought this little gem which provides just as much heat if not more. Don't expect any of these heaters to replace a furnace, but you can turn the thermostat down and heat the area you are in, instead of the whole house. I work from home, and this is right on time by my desk, or in the living room while watching TV, its very portable.

Great Ceramic Heater for the Price!!!

I bought this ceramic heater from reading all the reviews and I really do like this heater. It does heat up my bedroom very nicely, and I have found the fan is not very loud, which for me being a light sleeper found as a big plus. I have another brand (ceramic heater) and found the fan very loud at night. This ceramic heater looks and acts just like a Lasko, so if you are on the fence about getting this ceramic heater over a Lasko you can't go wrong, and especially for the price!

This heater heats as well as Sunbeams other ceramic heaters, but the heat is not as focused as in Sunbeams other "small room" heaters. The grill wraps around the front so heat is more widely dispersed. It's a great little heater and does better on low (1000 watts) than my forced fan heater does on high (1500 watts), saving me money.

This little unit surprised my husband and I. When we purchased it, we did not realize it was so tiny. WOW, this unit heated up my entire living room, kitchen and hallway which I never thought could be possible. Puts my AC unit to shame.

This is a small heater that can heat a small space very well. I like that I don't have to sit next to the unit to feel the heat. The small fan inside carries the heat evenly throughout the space. I love it. Worth every penny.

Our home is in South Florida and is about 60 years old, and like most homes here, their is no heat in the house. We recently had a severe cold snap that put us into the 20's and 30's so I bought this heater for the bedroom. The room is about 14x20 with 5 leaky windows. The heater was awesome. I was amazed at how warm it kept the room. 2 friends were also so impressed, that they also bought one. To bad for them, that I got it on the last day of an internet sale for $10 off. They got $5 off. Even at full price, it is a bargain.

  • A. Depends on what a lot of noise is... I'd say it's a hush sound, about like running water, or less, and lower pitched. My new laptop's fan is about the same, also highter pitched, when it cranks up. It's an agreeable sound, not like my -old- bathroom fan.

  • A. This heater does have a fan setting. Without the heat on, the fan doesn't work very well. I wouldn't depend on it cooling a room fast, but i guess it will move air around a little. Anyways, the heater itself is great, warms up within 5 to 10 seconds, and the temperature setting is convenient as well.
