Sun-In: Not just for Summer!
Sun-In is honestly a product that I have used on and off since I was a teenager. Yes, Sun-In has actually been around since the 70s and they are still going strong. So, they must be doing something right! When my hair was mostly its natural color back in the 80s and 90s, I would use Sun-In in strategic spots and streaks throughout my hair to give it "natural" highlights. My hair is naturally dark blonde. So, Sun-In lifts it to a lovely blonde shade. This method works both with the sun and with a hair dryer. That is right, no need to give up on your blonde just because the Sun isn't out. Sun-In is just as effective with a hair dryer! While I used to use Sun-In all over my head in the past, I must mention, that I now get my hair professionally highlighted. However, I still almost always have a bottle of Sun-In on hand for home touch-ups. While I do trust the bulk of the work to the professionals, strategic placement of SunIn at my root area can stretch out my time between salon visits. I mean, we all know how expensive those foil highlights a balyage looks are! You can save so much money when you can stretch out your salon visits a bit further. Sun-In is so fast and easy to use. Just spray it in and then either sit in the Sun or use your blow dryer to dry your hair. It is honestly so easy and user-friendly. Just spray or dab strategically and that is all of the work it takes. This review is part of a paid campaign with SunIn which included a product sample as well. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own and I have purchased this product on my own many times!

does not really work.
My kids wanted to try this so since we were going to the beach I figured we could try it then. I followed the instructions on the bottle and it only made their hair slightly lighter. I can't really tell unless they are under a bright light. I tried it three more times to see if I could get a better result But it didn't work. I wouldn't waste your money on this.

amazing

A few years ago a friend told me about this magical product so when I came across it during my last visit to miami, I bought it without hesitation. I tried it and it was even better than I had thought so as this product is not available in Argentina, I ordered a few more bottles to have them in stock. Everybody keeps telling me how natural my hair looks this summer. I use it two days in a row every two weeks to keep the colour and it rocks !!

Love SunIn!

I've been using SunIn after I shower, just spritzing a little all over my hair when it's damp and then blow drying! SunIn works with heat so either the natural sun works or your hair dryer. The common trend in the winter is to go darker with hair color, but it can be nice to keep things light–everything can get so dark with the weather and overall days being a lot shorter.

love this for lightening my hair naturally

I have been using SunIn since the 80's. It's a product I always keep in my cabinet for naturally bringing out the highlights in my hair. I really like that I can get the look of sunkissed highlights year round and that it work with my hair dryer. My favorite way to use SunIn is to take small 1/2 to 1 inch sections of damp hair and spray it on and blow dry. It creates pretty natural looking highlights on my medium blonde hair. It's also great for root touch-ups when I can't get to the salon as often. Great little inexpensive product for brightening your hair!

Works great for highlights on dirty blonde hair

by Scorpio91
4. no it is is there to stay
by Jessica93
5. If you mean the color then no if you mean the product then yes
by CamaroZ
6. NO. This contains hydrogen peroxide. It strips the pigment from your hair. It cannot wash out. Its a tamer and less damaging version of bleach.. not to mention much easier to use!
by wendyrx
7. No it doesn't really work on dark hair. It turned it a brassy orange but it does work for already blonde hair - it turned my blonde highlights even blonder!
by ElainaR
8. i've used it for a few days and it's lightened my hair from medium brown to light brown. i haven't had any problems with it washing out, but eventually it will fade

1. if your hair is really really dark, like almost black, ive heard it will give you orange/reddish highlights, which makes sense. my hair was medium brown, kind of dark, and it gave me gorgeous golden highlights !
by 111709
2. it will turn your hair orange as if you used blonde highlighting kit and didn't leave the dye on long enough. it does the same thing. it has peroxide in the ingredients.
by Scorpio91
3. You will likely get orange hair. It is just like putting concentrated lemon juice on your hair and sitting in the sun. It emphasizes any red/gold/orange tones that you have in your hair.
by ShopSkeptic
4. You might get a reddish tint, but to get rid of the tint, you just have to do it a few extra times and let it soak in before drying it.
by CiciRanee
5. i don't have any pics but my hair was medium/dark brown and after 2 days i have light brown. but don't sit in the sun with this product, use a blow drier, if you have darker hair, i heard that may turn your hair brassy

1. It might, idk for sure. I used it, and it gave my drown hair beautiful golden highlights, but after my hair grew out i couldnt help but think it got darker. and i think they work the same, i used the lemon vs the original, but honestly i think this is damaging to your hair. like i said im not sure about the color, so i would use this again, but with deep damage reversing hairreatments
by 111709
2. Get the lemon one instead stay away from the original it brings more red out the original is ment for natural blondes the lemon one with pull cooler less red tones but if your hair is like black your highlights are going to be red
by CamaroZ
3. It doesn't "come out"... this is a hair lightener.. it strips the pigment from your hair. It can GROW out, but not "come out". Trust me, I've got 25 yrs experience using it. Its all I'll use. (and the generic brands work just as well!) As for lemon or tropical.. I don't think either work better than the other.. they do have a "super" version or something to that effect that works faster.. but I don't see it here on walmart.com. BUT FYI, unless you really like fake lemon scent... the tropical smells MUCH better. Oh and yes, it will change ALL of your hair, highlights and all.. but it ought to make them all a few shades lighter... so your own highlights will be even lighter, but still there.
by wendyrx
4. i use the lemon one and love it! it will fade out so, and no it won't change your natural hair after it fades
