No Regrets

Delivered early, excellent condition, store employees loaded them into my trailer. A totally pain free experience. Kayaks are stable, paddles are good. 15 & 16 year old grandkids love them. Shopped a lot before making purchase - excellent deal for the price.

Nicer than I expected...

This kayak is even nicer than expected with a few extras that aren't even mentioned in the online description like the drain plugs fore and aft and paddle holders on both sides of the yak and secure storage under the seat and drip rings with the paddle. And while it was in the description, I didn't realize until I got the yak that the rear water tight storage unit can also be removed and used as a tow behind giving additional onboard storage. I bought it sight unseen except for the online reviews and was concerned about the comfort. But it turns out that it's very comfortable and much more so than several other kayak makes and models I did get a chance to sit in. I'm 5-11" 195lb 58 years old for reference. My friend who teaches kayaking and whose daughter does stunt whitewater kayaking checked this yak out and was very impressed.

Good quality, Great price

Shipping: I will begin by saying I had this kayak shipped and did not experience the same issues some reviews mentioned. It arrived on time inside a plastic bag, that was also in a plastic (almost tarp) bag. There were only 2 noticeable scratches, one on the top and one on the bottom, but neither made me worry about leaks or the overall integrity of the boat. Quality: The boat was a nice dark olive color, and the plastic was thick enough to carry by holding the edge of the cockpit. For anyone who was wondering, the kayak does not have a bulkhead but probably would benefit greatly from one. The fittings were for the most part rivoted, and the cupholders and electronics holder was a bit lacking; the cupholders were shallow and the bungee for your phone seemed like an afterthought. Everything else worked great, from the rod holders to the P.A.C, although the paddle and was a bit short for me but that is understandable since I am 6' 4". This being said I did have plenty of room when for my feet when I would put the foot braces as far back as I could. Performance: I tried out the kayak (my first time ever in a kayak) on a lake with stobs and trees all over the lake, with the wind blowing 10-15 mph. The first few minutes were tense and frightning until I learned the stability of the craft, and the first stob I ran into I thought I was going to fall into the water for sure. After about 15 minutes though I was going as fast as I could all over the lake. The kayak tracked well and was more stable than I would have imagined. It was highly manuverable, and allowed me to go to places I never had been able to get to before that. On the way back I had fierce wind to my back and with me paddling I was cutting through the water with amazing speed. I am very satisfied with this kayak.
